I have been thinking about things that bug me. Maybe as I am aging I am losing my tolerance or maybe just feeling I have earned the right to express my thoughts. Whatever the case is...you get to be the recipients of my rants!!
1. DECIMATING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. It is like people just make up words or they completely skipped their English classes in school! And I am talking about college graduates!! Maybe if they were really intending to make up words it wouldn’t bother me so much! And, don’t even get me started on when someone wants to “AXE” me a question! Ggrrrrr!
2. LEAVING THE SINK SURROUND SOAKING WET. I work with animals! I guess I should count my blessings that at least they wash their hands! But gimme a break! How hard is it to wipe down the counter when you finish washing your hands? I am sick of bellying up to the sink and my shirt getting soaked. C’mon people, show some simple respect.

3. PEEING ON THE TOILET SEAT. Does anyone really think I want to enter a stall and see a pee covered seat staring me in the face? I think not. Clean up your own fricking bodily fluids!
4. LIES. Why do people lie? What makes someone a pathological liar? Do they really think I am stupid? Guess what? I’m not! Ok, if I ask someone if I look fatter, I will accept the lie when they say no. But blatant lies just piss me off!
5. GROUP OUTINGS / OCCASIONS WHEN SOME PEOPLE DON’T PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE. We had a party at work and I ended up paying $10 for 3 chicken wings, 1 slice of pizza and a tsp of spinach dip! WTF?? Another time one gal brought 1 qt. of juice and took a freaking mound of food. It just plain pisses me off!
6. SELFISHNESS. In so many different incarnations I find selfishness to be just plain ugly. Whether it is being insensitive to others feelings, disregarding what others are feeling only to fulfill your own needs and not helping when help is needed. To me it shows lack of self respect and even greater lack of respect for others...especially when you profess your friendship.
7. WHEN THE WRONG PERSON GETS VOTED OFF REALITY TV! Just plain ires me. No need for discussion here!!!
8. BAD DRIVERS. The ones that drive without their lights on at night; have no brake / backing lights; don’t clear the snow off all their windows or the top of the car, only to have if blow off onto my car; tailgate; cut me off or drive way the hell under the speed limit! Get a clue!
9. ME. For writing such a long-assed blog!

Hi everyone. I am in a hotel some where in MO having an adult beverage.I was reading today's comments on my blackberry while going down the road, not a smart thing today! I came soooo close to pissing my pantys! I was reading them to Mr Mary, he was in stitches too!
Most of my pet peeves have already been mentioned. My big one is people who wait until the last second before signaling their intentions!Drives me nuts!
My girlfriend says "in case" where unless should be used.
Today was an especially bad one! at one of the rest stops someone left their "nasty" un-flushed!!!EEEK!!

d but when others do a surprise visit--not so fun. We are in Ouray and it is beautiful except Mr D isn't feeling too great so he'd better get better as we have the rest of the week. Let me know when MARY has gone thru Denver as I can't hide forever! ;). I agree with all the pet peeves. Another one is my husband falling asleep during summer nap time with the military or history channel on and if I either turn it off or change it, then he wakes up and I probably become his pet peeve

Carol, the date for little Nancy's homecoming is set for June 5th. We are so excited!
I put some new pics of her on Myspace last night, we got to visit her for about 40 minutes.
I also put a short video of her and her "surrogate mom" feeding her.
She is very loud for such a tiny kitten.
Thank you to everyone who left comments, you make my heart melt. We love this little baby so much already, she will fill a very big void that MR. EBJ and I have.
Oh! MR. EBJ found an injured baby bird in the back yard tonight.
He put it in a bucket on a towel, and got it some water, fruit and seeds to eat.
I will take it to the birdy vet (where we take Poe) in the morning to see if they can take care if it.
Looks like it might have been bitten by a cat, poor little thing.

Carol, this God thing has been a long time coming. I paid $25K cash for my daughter's new car and haven't seen a dime; not even a car payment (interest free, of course). I paid $18K for the car she totalled (interest free, but no payments).
She pulls this crap with my dad (on a fixed income with a major hit from the economy), too. God takes care of everything. No effort on her part. She thinks she's a prophet. Dad told her he doesn't want her coming around anymore because he can't afford her. He also read her the riot act about the $$ she's taking from me (college, room/board, spending $$). I've been away for most of the fireworks, but she hasn't tried to call/email me.
I love her, but if she doesn't snap out of it and see the real world, I'm not going to be her money tree.
Let's see if God has some spare cash to give her. I hate to be a downer on religion, but I think she's taken it too far.
Mo, from A51 - I will go to Piazzo St. Marco, have a tiramisu and people watch. I'm spending weekends in Italy, so it's not a trek. I think I'll like eating and people watching. Thanks for the recommendation!
Whab, the LHC broke last September... A weak joint. I've been working on it for 3 years. We're going online again in June/July and we decided to add some software enhancements. My avatar shows part of it. Basicall, I'm checking the welds and translating what the Collider sees into human-readable format. It's particle physics, but I'm don't understand all of it. I'm more involved in the hardware and software.
