Its very chewy, but if its cooked right ya just have to chew for a
minute and then it slides right down.. My cousin cooks in a gravy (actually red sauce, like on macaroni)
Really I think its so yummy..
Oh, and then you dip the Italian Bread in the Gravy.. and oh so good!
I don't think I could get past the thought of what it is, number one, and then the chewiness, too? Nah, not for me.
Well, of course the Italian bread in the gravy would be delish.

SHIRLEY: I just told Mr Z about the hockey game..he said to thank you for posting about it because he'd forgotten it was on and really wanted to see it! So Thank you!
J/LIN: I don't know where our tradition came from..but we've always made pork roast and sauerkraut on New Year's day. Mr Z hates sauerkraut but will eat one forkful if it will bring good luck! I don't know how well it works..but I have an old world superstition about it and don't think I'll ever change the menu!
Uh-oh..Mr Z also forgot about the Rose Parade..being a California boy he's watched every year..oops...
Zona I love pork spareribs cooked in sauerkraut! Also you can add peeled and quartered russet potatoes and cook them in the sauerkraut, too. Yummy!
J/LIN: It just occured to me that I did kinda alter the menu..because I'm making pulled pork..but since it starts out as a roast I'm choosing to believe it's still the same!
Mr Z found a repeat of the parade..along with hockey and football..and later a good dinner..he's a happy camper again! :D

My New Year's Resolutions are more like themes this year. Besides the normal ones of getting healthy they are:
1. Finish Strong.
2. Leave it better than I found it.
And, of course, as always, Focus on the positive.
Carol: This is the rare blue moon (2 moons in one month) for the new year. It won't happen again until 2028 for New Years. I told my daughter that we both started our periods (sorry if that is TMI) on December 30 and 31 so we are having the rare "blue" period. So, no the color is not blue..just the occasion of having two in one month causes it to be called a "blue" moon (or blue period in our case).
I got to see it right before I went into the house last night. Mr. B and I came back from a party a little after 11 and I looked up when I was walking into the house. There was a break in the fast moving clouds and there it was in all its glory..that blue moon to match my blue period.

Happy New Year again. Hope all had a nice day. We went to Breckenridge to visit my younger cousin that is being a nanny for two weeks up there...she lives in Houston. It was fun to see her but not long enough. She is in a multi-million dollar house and boy does it look beautiful just from the outside.
The mountains were so pretty today but not much snow. I think we have more on our ground in Denver.
Sounds like everyone was eating good food today.
