We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)

Happy Tuesday Owls. It's election day here and I am sooooo tired of campaign ads I could puke. Unfortunately, since it's only a primary, it will only get worse. UGH!
SacBarb I am leaving shortly to go up to mum's. She is doing ok, thanks for asking. Some days are more painful than other days, but living with cancer I guess you would expect that.

Contrary to its appearance, the blog is a thinker. It would be a shame to spoil the moment of epiphany some of you will have later. I am very happy that Shirley shared hers with us.
Interesting and "what will they think of next?" kinda blog Bona.
Just got back from Dr. - 10 more days on anti-inflam's and then PT. Said that they believe the Rotator cuff tendons are still swollen and being 'pinched' by the shoulder movement. They said- "if it hurts don't do it" (no shit sherlock), and keep icing, and doing exercises with it. When I come back from Vac. (the 1st 2 weeks of July)they will do an MRI if not better.
EXCUSE ME- I need this shoulder to golf with and play with grandchildren. It better be ok by the time I leave for vacation!- LOL
At least I get to keep off the sling now for the most part and can type with both hands! I was getting pretty damn good with one though.. :)
Hmmm no flavor but hopefully there is that pleasant scent. Strange...BONACHICHI.,,wonder where you get these as I don't think I have seen them at my local store....:)
What damn surprise to see TINA as first. Hey TINA, what happened yesterday? Only one more day until your weekend. When are you going to California? Are you and Bonachichi going to get to meet for a lunch this time?
SHIRLEY: Did you see my post to you in ARea 51 about the boob separator that was on Leno last night? He even said DEEDEE's exact (well maybe not exact)words on what would work for separating those boobs. DEEDEE: Did you happen to see the show?
GOLDIE: Hope you get good news at the doctor today. I am still in PT for my Achilles and it is not one bit better. I am getting nervous that I may end up with surgery because I sure can't continue this pain and walking issues.
SACBARB: (or as I like to say SACMARY/BARb) I am really sorry that your son lost his job. It is even worse with no notice. I will continue to send good thoughts to him and hope he will find something else right away. Maybe you should give him the Bronco bag to take on interviews and it might help is chances :) (just trying to add a little humor to a hard time for you)
CAROL: I would love to see that show you saw over the weekend. Maybe it will come to Denver next year. We have Young Frankenstein next week and then next month is South Pacific and I can't wait for that one...I know all the words to every song (don't you wish you would be there sitting next to me after spending all that money on a ticket to hear me sing)?
BONACHI: Hmmmm...sixty pieces of essentially nothing..sounds like a deal! Actually, I'm almost positive I've seen these in our favorite used record store. They have the coolest stuff there..but very few records. I guess I should start calling it the new and used cd and dvd with some records in the corner store..but nah, why bother.. ;)

Then, there the "What's flavorless" question? Is water flavorless? If something tastes like water, doesn't water have a taste? How do you make something completely flavorless?
The ironies are abundant if you just keep an open mind. For anyone who misses this subtle humor, I'm sorry you weren't able to have a chuckle.
Joanne had her appt. with the ocnoclogist, radiologist and gastrointerologist today. The colon cancer is stage 3, but is very treatable and she can live many years with it. The treatment will depend on the pancreas. She finally consented to have the scope so they can determine if she has pancreatic cancer or not. If she does, then the colon cancer treatment will not be as aggressive. Only enough to make sure she is comfortable and not in pain from it. If she doesn't have it then the treatment will be more aggressive in the radiation and the type of chemo she will have. She seems to want to have treatment, so she doesn't seem as depressed. She is bound and determined to go the wedding in July, and the docs agreed that after the scope and they have the facts they will delay all treatment until she returns from the wedding. That made her feel a lot better.
She has no dietary restrictions, so when I go tomorrow I am going to take her some edible food!!!
CHI CHI...head over to Cantors, Jerry's or Junior's and order a large one. And if you feel really crazy, order an egg cream. It's a chocolate phosphate with cream!
Maureen it's good to hear that Joanne is ready to fight and wants to go to the wedding. That's great! Take the woman a milkshake and a burger tomorrow!!

Goldie, I didn't mean any disrespect about the noun. That never did make sense to me. You can have a chocolate mint, a peppermint mint and a mint mint. What makes a mint? Obviously, it doesn't have to be mint.
