We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)

DeeDee I figure in a hasmat suit I would be safe from all the crud people are spreading around in here. Everytime I walk into a room I'm hit with a 60m/h sneeze or hear someone coughing up a lung or worse.
I have to say that I have never purposely done any of those nasty things. That being said, here is what I "un purposely" did... On my flight back from Europe I had to come home via Paris/Air France. We were treated to a wonderful meal. I was sitting between a French couple to my right and to my left a giant Yugoslavian young adult with thighs the size of my portly waist! I had eaten most of my meal and noticed a small container still unopened. I couldn't understand the label, thought it may be pudding, wrong! I lifted the pressurized lid and "splat! My French neighbor looked like he had the measles. It was some kind of cold tomato soup! I was so embarrassed! I apologized profusely! He wiped his face off and managed an understanding smile. I am sure he will hate me later when he finds the large stain on his expensive pants!
Am I the only one that thinks the video teeters on the "bulling" side? just wondering
Afternoon Mary! You pose an interesting question. In my mind I see bullying as a repeated act against someone. This video showed him doing random acts to different people. TO ME I don't think it was bullying, but I do think it was mean to do stuff like that to strangers. If you were with a group of friend (like in Chicago) and you grabbed someone's boob or licked (ewww) someone, I wouldn't call that bullying (maybe sexual harassment). It's just for fun. I know what I wanted to say but I'm not sure I said it very well. Why do YOU think it is bullying?
I respect everyone's negative opinions about this video. My only regret is that we cannot impose the death penalty against one of the early pioneers of this sort of humor. You all remember Alan Funt from Candid Camera? What a rotten piece of shit he was. To do those terrible things to all those nice people.
If getting old means I have to become narrow-minded and lose my sense of humor, I prefer to die now. Come on, people! Loosen up and enjoy the lighter side of life.

I went to get a suit like yours and they were out of them...so they sent me to the Army/Navy Surplus Store and they said this would work...whadda you think....its kinda heavy...

One of these franchises became the #1 TV show on its network. It was given $5 million to make a movie and it grossed over $100 million before going to DVD. The 2nd installment garnered a $30 million investment. It grossed over $300 million the first month it was out whilst holding the #1 spot in the box office for 3 weeks. The 3rd installment is due out shortly and the sky's the limit.
Controversial? Maybe. What the public at large wants? I won't dignify that with an answer. People no longer think playing bingo whilst eating a bag of cookies is fun. They want more out of life. You all deserve more, too.

My remark about instituting the death penalty for Alan Funt was not dramatic. It was sarcastic. I simply don't have the emotional depth to be dramatic.
I thought that video would lighten things up around here. It seemed we could all enjoy a chuckle. I had reservations about reactions, but if I'd known that it would cause such commotion, I'd not have bothered. My lifestyle is apparently much too different and decadent for public consumption. I'm sorry only that I can't make heartfelt apologies for it. It's mine and I enjoy it.
Hi...I would think someone clobbered this guy by the end of the day. My husband likes these kind of videos and shows like Wipe Out and America's Funniest Videos. I don't like them though someone doesn't get hurt. He is laughing his a@@ off watching them and I am not even smiling.....I must be grouchy!!! Not really..I just don't think it is funny to see someone run into trees on their skis, etc.
I start a new PT today to see if this knee of mine can get better now that my foot is better so I can walk some places. It is so dang hard planning out how far things are before you go because of my walking issues. How I would love to take my grandkids to a pumpkin patch but that isn't going to happen for now anyway.
My younger GD is coming over tonight for a couple of nights as she is out of school. We are going to the movie tomorrow and I am taking her for a surprise pedicure the next day...I love having them come over.

I can't believe it is this late already. I ran a few errands and when I pulled in the garage I decided to finish my ciggy and read a few pages of my book. The ciggy was long finished but I kept reading. The next thing I knew it was MIDNIGHT! I sat there reading for hours! If I didn't have to pee like a racehorse, I'd probably still be in the garage! I'm a goof!

I enjoy America's Funniest Home Videos. Jackass...not at all. I think the difference in my mind is AFHV's are not scripted and Jackass is. Intentionally trying to impose pain on each other or themselves...I don't find fun to watch.

I've seen AFHV a couple times over the years. What I saw was a lot of Jackass copycats. AFHV is a Disney production. Disney hates Jackass, because it's not "wholesome". That's right, the creators of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus think Jackass is unwholesome. Not so bad, though that they won't steal the ideas.
Not to spoil the magic, but the "victims" in these shows are either informed beforehand, or compensated generously after the fact. The production company can't use their image unless they sign a release.
SLIN - Enjoy the cruise!! It was great chatting with you! Oh, and BTW Tim's team lost miserably 30-0....ouch.
