Hello all my lovely Owlettes and Owls!!
Welcome to Joey! I know you've been posting for several days now, but, I have been AWOL for as much. And so good to see Want to Sleep here in this lovely comfy "nest" too!
I have not been posting due to so MANY things! Flu (OMG, the most horrible flu I have ever experienced, Turtle, I so know how you have been feeling!) depression (just a little, nothing to be all worried about!)my daughter from Sacramento and my darling baby granddaughter Emma visiting, and now, unfortunately Miss Laurie Elizabeth is SICK again!
Another bout of pneumonia and bronchitis. The chest xray showed the pneumonia, and she is coughing up the "ickies" very colorful, (I know TMI)and is now on a 7 day regimen of the Zythromax, 2 X a day instead of the usual 5 day, one a day pill, and the Dr said if she didn't feel better tonight to take her to ER. And I thought to myself, IF YOU THINK SHE MIGHT NOT GET BETTER, THEN WHY ARE YOU SENDING HER HOME????? But, I am hoping and praying the anti-biotics will kick in and we won't be making any late night trips to Kaiser!
Her 24 hr Holter (sp) Monitor (an EKG for her heart) went well, I think. I haven't got the results yet from her cardiologist in SF. But, like you said IBB, it was a piece of cake! Very non-evasive, and no big deal. Next up, is her Nuclear CAT Scan, and then her MRI w/sedation, which will be at UCSF.
But, we have to get her well before any more of these tests can be done. And of course, no surgery if she is not 100 per cent OK!!
OK, nuff said about all the DRAMA in my life!
I have been peeking in and reading as much as I can, and I have been so enjoying the blogs by everyone and the comments are just priceless! And you sweet ladies make me so hungry every day!! I think I will just put on 50 cyber-pounds reading about all the delicious food! And any one is so welcome to come and visit and cook any time you want!!!!
But, I must admit, I passed over the ghost stories very fast.
Those things just creep me out too much. Even the "good ones". I am just one big scaredy cat!!! But, I am happy that those of you that felt the presence of your lost loved ones had that wonderful experience.
I still dream all the time of my husband Larry. Sometimes they are happy dreams, sometimes they are very sad dreams, and I wake up crying. But, I don't believe that Larry is in the room with me. I just think it was me trying to keep the love going. Even though it has been 24 years! Love never ends!!!
So, on that note, Happy Heart Day to everyone!!! I hope all your dreams come true, that your loved ones are there for you, and for those of you out there like me, with no significant other, I hope you all treat yourself with lots of love tonight! How about some decadent chocolate and red wine just for ourselves????
And whatever happens after that, well, that is just between you and whoever you choose to share it with!! I know some of the really Late Night Owlettes will want to know, and have some very interesting comments to share!
