Laying on the beach on a remote island.
Skiing the Swiss Alps.

Driving thru every state in the union.
Taking a train across Canada.
Standing on an ice floe in Alaska.
Seeing a play/musical on Broadway every day for a week.
Cruising the Caribbean
What is your dream vacation?
I already had a dream vacation in 2002, but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming of other ones.I dream of spending a couple of months in Australia and New Zealand. Seeing the Outback, watching Kangaroos hop across the road, visiting the Sidney Opera House, indulging in the famous steaks, seeing the tourist traps and the out of the way finds only locals can show me. Money is no option and my time would be free. I dream of returning to Italy. Taking a cooking class from a grandma. Wasting the days on the beach in Lido. Buying trunk loads of Murano Glass. Visiting friends and spending a day on their mountain top cabin herding their sheep and making pecorino with them. Becoming speechless at the works of art in the plethora of museums and seeing all of them. Having a gelato a day. Tossing more coins in the Trevi Fountain. Walking up all the Spanish Steps. Seeing the Grotto on the Island of Capri.
I dream of spending a week in a lovely hotel in Palm Springs. Lazing at the pool all day and visiting wonderful restaurants at night. Then catching a plane to Hawaii. Where I will visit all the islands, learn to hula, stand under a waterfall, float in the ocean and not worry about burning, snorkel at Hanauma Bay, watch the whales and swim with the dolphins and stare at the stars in the clear skies. I’ll order Macadamia Nut Pancakes with my friend.
I dream of New York. I have been there many times, but in my dream I can afford to shop at Tiffany’s, Bergdorf's, the designer showrooms. I’ll buy a real Prada purse, not a fake one on the street. Seeing any Broadway shows I want in the best seat in the house. I’ll drink a coffee in Rockefeller Plaza and watch people for hours. I’ll dine at Babbo, Becco, and at a list of other wonderful restaurants. Tavern on the Green will have a special table set aside for me on the patio. And I will have a private hansom cab take me all over the island of Manhattan. I will picnic in Central Park. And I will lay a wreath at the site of the World Trade Center. That’s just the beginning of my trip. I will stay a few weeks and find so many things to do.
Maybe I will realize those dreams - - maybe one or maybe all. Or maybe none. But to continue to have them keeps them alive and real and something to look forward to.
What is your dream vacation? Let’s take our trips together right here in the Owl’s Nest. What a fun group of travel companions!

Maureen..thanks for a great day off topic. (Although I am "working" some)
There will be more, but for now:
-Sit on the rocks and watch the ocean for hours a day, for at least two weeks..tide pools, dramatic waves, sandcastle sand, fireplace, quiet, good books, good movies, rest, and more ocean.
-Nova Scotia to sit and learn in Pema Chodrons monastery
-Take train across Europe
-Visit a monk I know in Kanazawa Japan
-Learn how to vacation inside of me.
Oh..congrats JOEY
Joey-- Had I not Been at work.. and darn those customers for making me work and being first!!!
GOOD MORNING -- NOW MERCY!!!!!
I meant And miss being first!!!
Good Morning Owls,
What a great blog Maureen Dream Vacations, I really want to go on a Cruise. Just my husband and I for 1 week. It just sounds so nice.
My other dream vacation is to take my children to Disney World, sounds kind of corny but when your raising 3 boys, it just seems impossible to come up with money for that kind of vacation. But I have faith and I know some day we will get there.
Heads of DWTS Fans they are going to be announcing the new cast at the end of Dance Wars.
Have a GREAT DAY everyone, I have more house work to do. I just folded Laundry and I only have 1 more load to do. Then CLEANING.
I will check in on a break
Love yas,
Maureen.. Great topic..
I would have to say anywhere that involved Sun, Sand and Water...
I can sit on the beach for hours... and just watch the waves roll in...I think that is the best form of relaxation....
Good morning!
Congrats again Joey!
I will have to give this more thought, what a great topic!
Back later!
Good morning ReneeEve---
I would also love to go on a cruise... But I don't think I could leave my animals for that long!!!!
I know GOOFY!!!!
EBJ-- Good morning!!!
Good rainy Morning Owls!
Congrats on first and second Joey. Haven't I said that before?
Great topic Mo.
Dream vacation eh? I guess mine would have to be to visit my cousin and her husband and family in Fairbanks, Alaska ( in warmer months.) She has been to my home and we met at my mothers one year in Ill., but I would love to see her part of the country. The photos she sends me are breath-taking! It is a dream that one day, I hope to make a reality.
Hello to the early owls:
Joey
nowmercy
IBB
Renee Eve
and all the others that will be flying in!
Great Day To All! {{{HUGS}}}
Hi East Bay J!
I didn't see you as I was typing!
Good morning everyone.
Congrats Joey on 1st.
I think my response to Mo's blog is "I'll have what she's having".
It all sounds perfect to me. I am up for anything.
I have been very fortunate to have had some dream vacations, but I think the one destination I would love to go yet is Italy.
renee eve- we didn't take our son to disney until he was 15. Wisest decision we ever made.He remembers every minute- we were able to go from morning until late at night and do after dark things too. He and his dad did the scary rides at Universal, Epcot and Disney and I made them ride the "small world" attraction with me, and the tamer stuff.
We saw SOOO many families with whiney, tired kids having meltdowns that we were forever grateful NOT to be them. So even if it takes you a while to get there, don't fret. They are never too old!
Joey...first and second
again..woohoo!
Good morning...Joey, IBB, Nowmercy, ReneeE, EBJ, JigglinJax, Goldie!
Maureen...oh, thank you, thank you! Love your writing...and LOVE this topic! My favourite thing to do...I am always planning the next BIG trip! In the words of Dr.Suess...."oh the places you'll go!"
Let's see, I want to and I know I will someday (I hope?!!!!):
Bike tour of Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales
Walking pilgrimage of Spain
Back to Australia for a long exploring trip of the beaches and inland
Volunteer and work with kids with special needs in Nepal or India
Go to Goa
Back to the village in Mexico I spent Christmas at last year to live for awhile
See polar bears (while they are still in existence...global warming has been very hard on them) in a Northern part of Canada
Drive and camp down the westcoast of the US...camp on a long beach in Oregon
See the Alps
Eat good bread and chesse in Austria (have wanted to do that since I read Heidi when I was eight!!)
Do the pilgrimage to Bethlehem on Christmas Eve
Go to New York for a week of Broadway plays
Volunteer at an orphanage in Central America
Oh, I gotta stop...I am starting to drool. Thanks, Maureen, for the Monday morning opportunity to dream big!
Breakfast is served:
French Toast filled wth your choice of:
strawberries, rasberries, cream cheese, blueberries, cherries, whipped cream on top...
Fresh Melon, Grapefruit
Nutella or Razeberry Croissants
Teas, Hazelnut Coffee
Ginger Honey Lemon Tea for coughing owls
OJ with sparkling mineral water
Oranges, apples, pears, bananas for on the go owls.
(This breakfast provided by my Daughter..who knew how much she knows about French Toast?)
YUMMMY
Dream Vacation~
Okay I need to ponder on that one-
I already know it won't be a cruise or the ocean. I'm not a fan of water. I know weird.
Iteach-- Not weird... Different!!!
Hi to:
ITEACH (not weird)
IB
VIG
RENEE
EBJ
JIGGLIN
If I could eat cheese without getting a sinus infection I would lay around in Greece, eat cheese and bread and drink good red wine.
I would also take the Alaskan cruise with my daughter and go back to Disney Land and go to Sea World
I would also like to do a Habitat House somewhere
I would also like to win the lottery so I can...
SHIRLEY..you out there? You okay? Fly by and let the nesters care bout ya!!
Good Morning -Great post again Maureen. You are very prolific. I will read the posts later. I want to have breakfast and see Regis and Kelly. I travelled for 8 years seeing all the places I had only dreamed about. I loved it. Now my favourite spot is my swing in my own back yard. Does that spell old age or what? The only place on my list that I did not get to see was Anne of Green Gables home in P.E.I, Canada. If I ever make a trip again that's where I will go. I will be back to read about everyone's dream vacation.
Good Morning Feathered Friends!!
JOEY - you are a first whore!! Congrats!!!
NOWMERCY's DAUGHTER! - Thanks for the yummo breakfast! I'll have my french toast stuffed with the blueberries, a nutella croissant, juice and a Hazelnut coffee! Mmmmm!
*waving hi* to IBB, VIG, JAX, ITEACH, EVE, EBJ, CPGEM8 & GOLDIE!!
Ohhh, I wanna go on all of your dream vacations! They are sound so wonderful.
CAROL, you can do it! And imagine the echo when you scream EFF-YOU from the top of a mountain!!
IBB, before I moved from Los Angeles, I went to Malibu and stared at the waves for hours and hours! So relaxing.
JAX - a trip to Alaska would be incredible...and to add a favorite relative to the mix is even better!
VIG, thank YOU for the kind words!
GOLDIE - GO TO ITALY!! It is amazing, filling and breathtaking. GO GIRL!
ITEACH - you're not weird!! Well, maybe you are! BUT not becase you don't like the water!!! Land locked vacays are just as fun...if it's where you want to be, anywhere can be amazing!
Thanks gals (that includes Joey!!)
See ya later
TINKA - Hi! Your vacations on your back swing sound lovely. It isn't a sign of age, but of contentment. Home is where the heart is...and your heart is ginormous, so you're home is the perfect place to want to be. {{{hugs}}}
ow! my head!!
mornin' owls
What a great topic!!! there are so many things I want to do.
The Great Wall of China
England,Wales,Scotland & Ireland
Mexico
Just about anywhere actually. I love to travel and to experience new things, see new sights and meet new people. I love having "adventures" and make small adventures out of something as silly as getting lost.
The problem with these dreams is I probably never achieve them as I am slowly losing my ability to walk. The Great Wall of China does not really accommodate a motorized scooter nor do many places I've mentioned, plus how the hell would I get it on the plane???
So, I think it's time for a new dream...maybe an RV trip across country? We shall see.
Now I have GOT to go work on these tax returns! I can't believe my FATHER call me for help......unheard of! will check in later owettes!!
Nowmercy I am here but not very good company today. I am a bit emotional. A job I thought I had I found out I don't (even though they said they would call the end of March).
Maureen this is a great topic but one I don't have any comment on today, although IBB's idea of sitting on the beach and watching the waves seems pretty good. I could watch the ocean for hours. The combination of the sound, the smell of the salt air and the site of the waves crashing against rock and the beach is almost hypnotic. But I won't be doing that anytime soon. Sorry for the down post everyone. I'll just slide back into lurkdom and read about all your dreams.
Awww Shirley...What a crappy thing to have happen..You don't have to stay in lurkdom...vent all you want!!!!
about time!!! LOL
Birdee and I were getting the same FOAD weird, google alert!:(
It happened after my 2 posts..So I thought it was locking me out for posting too many times! LOL
Awww Shirley, Sorry to hear that..Hope your day gets better!
It is a pretty day here..just windy but nice!
Off to be productive...It was nagging me that I couldn't post here!
oh, sorry IBB that you had to work...
Thanks nowmercy for that WONDERFUL breakfast(and thx to your daughter)!
The french toast queen!:)LOL
Okay I figured it out Ireland and England. That is where my dream vacation would be.
Shirley that just bites the big one. Not a classy saying, but sometimes it works.
Shirley, sorry to hear about the job falling through!
'weenie: My dream vacation would be...the Moon! Imagine exploring the surface at 1/6 G... hopping around, being able to jump 6 times as high as you can here!
But the most amazing thing would be the perspective you'd get looking back at the Earth... to see our planet as just a tiny but exquisitely beautiful blue ball, our own precious spaceship!
East Bay: From A51: Yep, I'm afraid all the attendees of bear runs are gay. That's why you need to organize the first straight version! LOL!
Hi! Geez, i got that same weird google message and couldn't get on back.
VIG- I laughed at your post. You see my name is Heidi and I have eaten great cheese and bread in the Alps. (not Austria though). Both my folks were from Germany, and that is where all my relatives live. I HATED that movie and book when I was a kid, because I got teased endlessly about being the girl on the mountain. I have blonde hair, and I would NEVER let my mom put it in braids!
Shirley, don't lurk. Come on here and share your feelings. Bitch, cuss do what you have too. We understand, we have all been there. And we are here for you now.
SHIRLEY - Don't just lurk...let us be your support. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}
Hey Bear! Passing you a brownie. I won't tell the naysayers in the other place......
Maureen - Thank you for changing 'old age' to 'contentment'. As I said before you always say the sweetest things.
Nowmercy - French Toast with strawberries and whipped cream, that's my favourite. Thank you so much.
I wish someone could take a picture of MEK sitting on Hole One. I want to see her in that outfit.
My favorite part of the day is coming.
Naptime.
Nowmercy--Thank DD for the wonderful breakfast..
Shirley- That bites really bad... Sorry to hear it... But .. you can always find the love in here!!!!
Good Joey, Nowmercy, MEK, IBB, Renee Eve, EBJ, Jax, Goldie, VIG, Tinka, scirish, Shirley, iteach, and Bear and everyone who flew in while I was typing and will fly in later
Mo, what an exciting topic. Thanks so much for prompting me to conjure up my dream vacation. I have never really thought about it before, because I am really more of a 'homebody.' When I do travel it's usually because a friend wants to go somewhere and asks me to go along, or I go because of a family 'thing.'
But when I thought about I think I would really like to go to Italy. Both of my parents were born there and it would be nice to see their birthplace, plus all the art history there. I would also love to go to the Vatican and see the Pope, the Sistine Chapel, David, the Peita, and on and on.
Or I can just sit on a beach all day for days and read a book while listening to the waves crashing and smell the salty air.
Good morning owlettes!
Joey LOL @ towelettes and congrats on #1 today.
Shirley I'm so sorry that the job didn't work out. Something better must be coming your way. Do you have a MySpace? I would like to be added as a friend.
Ah, vacations. I've taken lots of cruises from caribbean to Panama Canal to Alaska a couple of times. Alaska is breathtaking. One of the best things I ever did was a helicopter ride that was spectacular and then landing on and walking on a glacier! I highly recommend it. Also love Hawaii everytime.
I would love to see Italy and Greece. I don't know if I can stand the long flight though. After 5 or 6 hours I feel I have had enough of being cooped up in a plane.
Joey, sorry I didn't talk to you last night. I didn't see your comment to me. But thanks for the congrats.
Nowmercy, thanks to your dd for the wonderful breakfast. I love french toast and strawberries, but hold the whipped cream please.
Bear, the moon would be a great vacation spot, but one would have to have a lot of vacation time saved up because the trip takes so long.
Shirley, That's a bummer about your job, but the right job will come along for you. That one must not have been it.
I am packing today for my very early departure to San Diego tomorrow. I will check back in later. Have a great day everyone.
nowmercy I don't know where my manners are this morning but I meant to thank you and your daughter for the wonderful breakfast today. Yummy!
iteach Before I started taking cruises, I wasn't sure I'd like it either. Dramamine works great. Also, what about a river cruise. Smooth as silk. I've done a Mississippi cruise a couple of times and absolutely loved it. New Orleans is great!
Just_Lin, good morning to you. We were typing at the same time.
SacBarb Hey, waving a wing at you. Have a great time in San Diego.
SacBarb-
Hope you have a wonderful time in SanDieago... Will you internet access... Hope so...
Also.. want pictures of you at the wedding!!!
My life has been blessed. My Dad was Air Force. I have lived and traveled to wonderful places. I grew up in Germany. I spent a week in Rome. I heard a sermon given by the Pope at the Vatican. I went to Paris one summer. The weather was perfect. The Eiffel Tower is huge. I learned to eat escargot! I went skiing in the Swiss Alps. I was a beginner and I busted my butt. I also went to Amsterdam during tulip season. The orchards of colorful tulips were beautiful. I loved traveling when I lived in CA. I also loved living at the Miracle Strip beach in Destin FLA. The sand is pure white as salt. The waters are clear blue. Tinkatia and I share this love. We both went to Graceland, home of Elvis!! I also love the San Antonio Riverwalk at Christmas. It's so festive!
Shirley sending big warm hugs to you. Ther will be another job. These things happen sometimes. I remember the first time I didn't get the job that I had already been called for and told that I had. They were supposed to call back with my schedule but never did.
Renee Eve
I hope that you get to take that trip to Disney World. I went to Disney Land. It was a magical day even for a grown up!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I think the thing that pissed me off the most is that I don't think she was going to call me. I mean I sent the resume, she call for an interview, I went, she told me to come back two days later, then calls and says don't come in I will call you and then doesn't call. Who runs a realty company like that? If she deals with her clients like that no wonder she doesn't have very many. Sorry for the rant.
Last month I was suppose to start work for an income tax place. Everything was all set up. I was just waiting to get called in for updated training (I have worked for this company for several years). Instead I got a call saying I wasn't needed, they hired someone else. He made my co-worker call(she was very upset). He didn't even have the balls to call me himself.
Anyway, dream vacations right now seem very far away. If you don;t dream you can't be hurt when they don't come true. Sorry Maureen I don't mean to put a damper on you blog day. Just call me a tart and send me over to the naughty mat fr the rest of the day. But could I have something for this splitting headache first?
Good morning Owls & thanks for breakfast, cyber-niece! Hope MEK's havin' a blast!
Maureen ~ What a beautiful way to start the day. I, too, would love to revisit NYC on an unlimited budget. Don't think I could handle 'ground zero', though as I have such great memories of staying at the Vista Hotel at the base of the World Trade Center, dining at Windows on the World at the top. I'd want to pay respects, but not lose the images from that stay----and I took no pictures to keep. What was I thinking?
Tip (from learning the hard way): When you snorkle Hanauma Bay, slip on Ace knee bandages first! :o) You might look like a dork, but you'll avoid the coral-scarred knees. Thoughts on some favorites to follow......
So very many places I'd love to visit, but I think the top choices would be:
~ Rio de Janeiro
~ Machu Picchu, Peru
~ Prague, Czech Republic
~ Kauai for a lazy week of biking the backroads and sunset swims.
~ Three-month tour of the entire USA in a luxury RV.
VIG: Come on down! I'll show you every inch of Oregon's best beaches. We'll get a condo at Little Creek Cove (check it out) as our central base. :o)
Goldie/Heidi ~ My very first favorite book! Taught me that reading can transport you ANYWHERE.
Interesting timing for this subject....Nowmercy can confirm I just emailed her last night about all the places I love to travel using Google Earth & Windows Live Virtual Earth. If anyone's never tried this, you MUST! So fun to swoop in close on the Pyramids, the Las Vegas Strip, Paris, Rome, etc. Just be sure you have a few free hours as it's very addicting!
Shirley-- Would you like a vicodan or mimosas!!!
Goldie and others who dream of going to Italy...Do it. There is so much to see from the Vatican, to the ancient ruins to Micheal Angelo's work. Oh and the food! The men will pinch you on the butt though. They are very amorous. They think its funny.
IBB can I have the mimosas? Do the come in gallon jugs?
Gallon of mimosas coming right up!!!!
Bon Oregon - I dined at the 'Windows of the World' too. Wasn't it a thrill. I did take pictures and it makes me sad to look at them.
Shirley You've been added as a friend. :) Thanks. Don't get too carried away with the mimosas. You don't want to end up on the naughty mat.
Ibb thanks!
Hey again!
Shirley, what kind of work do you do? How bout starting an at-home biz?
The same thing has happened to me, you get told basically that you have the job, then you don't hear a thing.
Don't even have the decency to send you a FOAD letter!
OK, I've thought about a dream vacation. I have a couple.
First would be a romantic hide-away in Maui.
Second is holing up at an ocean view cottage at the Little River Inn on the Mendocino coast.
I don't have the travel bug that I used to, and luckily I've been to a lot of places (my dad was an airline pilot, so we got to travel lots).
Places I didn't go but wish I had would be Australia and Fiji. I don't like to fly very much, and can tolerate 5 hours or so at the max.
My huz hates flying, but loved Hawaii so much when we went the year before last, that he would fly to go back.
We've been on a couple cruises too, they are fun but we both agreed that 4 days is the most we want to be stuck on a boat.
I have enjoyed reading everyone's dream vacations!
Afternoon Everyone!
Dream vacation. I have always wanted to visit the places my family comes from. Ireland and Germany on my dad's side, Russia on my mom's. I would love to stand in the places I've heard stories about all my life. Since this is a dream...I would also like to have someone else pack and unpack my luggage for me. I hate doing that.
MAUREEN: Great topic and what wonderful visuals in your writing! Thank you!
JOEY: Congrats on first and second..! I clicked on your link in Area 51..THAT was so much fun! To hear the excitement in your voice as you boarded the plane, and to look out over New York with you. I kept thinking "Don't get to close to the edge.." before realizing--hey he's home already! ;)
NOWMERCY & IBB: I love the beach too, especially at sunrise and sunset.
RENEE/EVE: Where would you like to take a cruise to?
IBB: NOT goofy to not want to be away form your animals..it's one of the main reason Mr. Z and I don't travel. I hate the thought of putting Nikki in a kennel.
EBJ: Thanks so much for the update on Paula yesterday. I'm praying for a GREAT report!
JIGGLIN: I always think of Alaska as just being 'the wilderness'. I know, I don't get out much. I would love to see nature this way too.
GOLDIE: I'm at the age where I get whiny and tired at Disneyland too!
VIG: I have no doubt you will visit everyplace on your list and fulfill all your dreams.
TINKA: Your post reminded me so much of the end of 'Wizard of Oz'..finding peace and happiness in your own back yard. Love you.
SCIRISH: LOL! Whenever we are travelling and get lost, my hubby says we're on an 'adventure'..he never admits he just took a wrong turn somewhere!
SHIRLEY: These last two years have truly shown that 'when one door closes..'. Don't worry, it'll work out.
BEAR: Ahhh...space, the final frontier!
SACBARB: I think you are going on a dream trip this week aren't you? Your baby is getting married!!
JUST_LIN: I'd love to see Hawaii..just one time!
ITEACH: I love water..but not a cruise, that would freak me out too! Have a wonderful nap!
Loved reading the stories on where everyone would love to be trippin'!!
The new neighbors are moving in, gonna take a peek and see who they are!
BON'O: Waving to you from cold, cloudy AZ!!
DREAMA: Where EXACTLY in Italy do you go to get pinched on the butt?? I need street names please.
Hello everyone!
Joey--congrats on 1st and 2nd! LOL!
great blog today Mo. My dream vacations would include going on a couple of cruises. I want to do the nice long, 10 day ones. I would also love to take my kids to Disneyworld. Unfortunately, I'm sure none of this will happen, as hubby and I just plain don't have the money, but I can always dream!
Have a great day, gang!
Hey there Zona! The sun's finally melting the frost off the lawn here. I say you leave Mr. Zona at home with Nikki, and we head to Hawaii! I bet K'girl could meet us for a sunset dinner.
and....maybe you'll get lucky and the new neighbors will be cute young Italian guys?
Never did get pinched on the butt in Italy.
But Austria was a different story all together !!!
ANGER:
- the smoke that appears over sadness, loss
- a very effective boundary setting tool
- an emotion to make room for
- an emotion to let go of after expression
- a feeling that can turn inward if held onto and turned into resentment..old movie line by Detective Munch "Me hating him is like me taking poison hoping he will die"
On the way out the door to enjoy the sun and holiday with kiddo.
Hi to all..Yes, this is synchronistic for BONSIS..she was just referring to globe trotting via googleearth
SHIRLEY: Damn..sucks out loud. Maybe you have been spared from working for a dork. Hope your luck changes soon and GLAD GLAD GLAD you let the nest be a soft place to land.
Did anybody make lunch yet?
uhhh
Cherry Pie.. for George
Cheese Burgers
Veggie Burgers
(Both servied with or without onions, sauteed mushrooms, mustard, ranch, mayo, catsup, lettuce, pickles)
Fries/Tots
Tossed Salad
Assorted Dressings
Italian Sodas
Sorbet
EBJ - I never got pinched in the butt in Italy, either. Damn it! And I have a butt big enough that they couldn't miss!!! Hmmm, maybe that's why it never happened!!!
BON'O - I have been snorkling in Hanauma Bay before. And dork that I am, I didn't take my camera along. DOH! But I did buy a postcard of it mailed it to myself!! Oh, and I am still cracking up over the Moo Shoe Pork comment you sent!! ;)
Since so many want to travel to Italy...let's have a owl trip (after we all descend upon Turtle next spring!!)
***SPOILER ALERT***
WATCH General Hospital today!!!!
Thanks everybody. I'm going to stagger over (oops too many mimosas)to the kitchen and make me some cookies. If I don't eat them all I'll drop some off later. What a wonderful group you are.
SHIRLEY - ya better make a second (or third!) batch...ya know what a piggy I am!!!
Shirley, I'm staggering with ya, sis.
I'm off today and huz is at work, so enjoying the mimosa's YUM!
Shirley--
I have invited you be A my space friend..
And I found this group in a very tough time in my life .. and the nest gave me such comfort... almost forgot my troubles!!
They sure helped ease the pain!!!
It is a wonderful group to be associated with!!!!
Maureen--watching General Hospital right now! My favorite soap!! :)
Hi Gang!
Bear- How would Huz get a leash long enough to put on you if you went to the moon?
IBB- Are you feeling any better?
Goldie- Your favorite vacation in driving on I94 and waving at the 4th exit.
LIL- Good to see ya !
EBJ: In Austria??? I have some ancestors from there...that fits into my dream vacation..do YOU have locations for me?

NOWMERCY - Yumm, what a lunch to follow your awesome breakfast! I can't wait to see what you feed us for dinner!!!
IBB - Sorry you are still feeling so icky. Try a mimosa!
ZONABABY
you are so funny. If I get to go to Italy again I will take you with me and push you in front of all those pinching fingers so my JLo butt can be safe.
Naptime is over and we all slept so good.
Now we are all eating cookies and drinking milk.
Oh, wait the fairytale moment is over. Matthew is beating the poop out of Philip. I will be back later.
Hi zona.
IBB, I'm not feeling any better today. But, thank you for asking. I mentioned to someone else that I have so many cold meds in me that if I died they would think I was some kind of drug addict. But, NOTHING is helping.
DWTS rumors are flying....
WANT - What are the DWTS rumors???
LOL JOEY IS FIRST~~
Mo...what a great blog.
Most of you know that I will be taking my dream vacation this year. I have always wanted to go to Austria and we are going there in September!! With a little Germany, Switzerland and an afternoon side trip to Italy added in! We are so excited. I still can't believe we are going.
So as a "dream" vacation I would have to say these places.....
Egypt
Africa for a safari
Costa Rica for bird watching
South America to see the Mayan and Aztec ruins
Fiji
Australia
Those are the dreams because I would never in my life go there. Most I don't feel safe traveling too, and Fiji is just too damn expensive. It's like $10,000 per person! Crazy!
I hope to someday go to England, Scotland and Ireland. I also want to go back to Alaska to watch the bears and to go through Denali. I so so so badly want to see the Aurora Borealis (sp) in Fairbanks.
Well I have to head back to work!
Maureen- Adam Carolla announced on his radio show this morning that he will be on the show paired with Julianne.
Steve Guttenberg.
The maybe's are- Pricilla Presley, Kristi Yamaguchi, Marleee Matlin
Thanks, Goldie! I'll munch on one before we head out to the farewell party at the LS... should make things festive!
SacBarb: Actually, the trip to the moon only takes about 2 and a half days!
Have fun in San Diego...
WANT - Adam Carolla!! That should be hilarious! I can handle watching me some Steve Guttenberg.
I had heard about Marlee Matlin before. Kristy would probably do well. She is so elegant on the ice.
WHABBY - hmmm, how would you send me a postcard from the moon? Or did you mean you want to shoot the moon!! bwahahaha
Hi Owls!
Maureen: I'll take that trip to New York with you. ;) That's a dream vacation of mine too. I'd love to do the same in London. BTW, you were right about Avenue Q - hilarious!
BonO: Wish I had thought of that Ace bandage tip last year when I went on a cruise. I came home with a coral-scarred knee. Ouch! It took a long time to heal.
Tinka: Glad you're feeling better!
Shirley: I too am sorry to hear about the job not working out. Hugs and a prayer for a new job opportunity soon.
SacBarb: Have a safe trip and a wonderful time at the wedding!
VIG: That 6 word challenge has turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. All I've come up with so far is...
Born to sing! (in the shower).
LOL!
Hope today was the start of a great week for everyone!
Goldie...that is waaay too funny. You have a GREAT name! After reading the book Heidi(Bono wasn't that a great childhood book?!) and seeing the movie a million times, I wanted to change my name to Heidi and made my friends call me Heidi!!! But then after seeing the Sound of Music, I made them call me Maria!!! Actually wanting to be called Heidi came from the movie and what I really wanted was to BE Heidi and chase goats up a mountain - but more than that I wanted to BE Shirley Temple!!! I, of the short pixie cut that my Mom took me to the barber with my four older brothers to get...wanted Shirely Temples" curls. Forty some years later, with nearly the same hairdo, I still have Shirley Temple curl envy!!!
Bono...divine...meet you on that base beach in Oregon! That would be extremely cool!. Hey, Tinka, do you want to go on a road trip this summer? By the way, are there still plans for the Northwest get togethers that we talked about on the other blog?
Tinka...hope you are having fun in the sun!!! Isn't it a gorgeous day? Just drove back from Sooke and had to stop in to an optometry place to get my sunglasses fixed....couldn't drive without them!!!....fabulous!!!!) Hope the furbabies had a chance to bask in the sunshine!
Shirley....hope the best job ever is right around the corner!!!
Junior...I mean Zona...don't forget that your next dream vacation HAS to be tea with Tinka and I in Canada!!! We're waiting!!!
Amicus....great poem! Part two:
First the shower, then the stage!!!!
VIG ~~ Good timing! Just decided to take one last peek in the Nest before opening every door and window and cleaning house. It's only 52 sunny degrees so I'll HAVE to keep moving! But I'm desperate for fresh air inside after the long winter.
and, btw....I WAS Shirley Temple only hair was the color of Joey's owl and longer than Shirley's. It was the WORST!!!
Don't threaten me with a visit on the coast unless you mean it!! And feel free to bring Tinka along. Little Creek Cove is definitely my favorite. I'd recommend it to anyone who's thinking of a trip this way. Centrally located and with miles of flat beach to walk in either direction.
Okay, off to work! Just don't forget to call me for dinner :o)
Just checking in with the Owls. Sorry about the job Shirley - there seems to be a lot of that going on these days with bloggers. I hope you get one that you really love.
Joey - who are you calling moist?
Whabby - are you using NASA money for that moon trip? I think you should because, for my money (Ok, I'm not American - so it's YOUR money), NASA is the best spent federal money out there!
Today's topic? Paris!!!
Do I get march all by myself?
93
94
Hi CG!
96
97

99
100
100
JL you are awful! :)
I did it!!!!!!!happy dance!!!!!!!!
100?????
I did all that marching and you sneaked right in!
I guess that is why I love you.
You are sneaky like me.
Ohhhhh, Maureen was trying to be sneaky too!
That's what I call good timing.
I honestly thought CG and I were the only ones in the house.
You two were hiding in the crawlspace.
JUST LIN - you sneaky little owl you!!
I'm off to get dinner ready, I will try to win two hundred later.
Have a great dinner!
p.s. VIG ~~Oops, forgot to mention...Last I heard, Glynis & Berry are thinking of hosting the PNWBBQ this summer. You might check with her.
Brrrr.....freezing in here!
iteach That was so funny about Matthew beating the poop out of Philip.
Barbara in WA That vacation trip sounds so exciting! Is that what happens when you f#@k his brains out every single time? LOL
Want RE: DWTS, Adam, yuk, can't stand him. Kristi ought to be excellent.
iteach I was definitely not in the crawlspace with all those spiders! I was in the rafters reading the posts and when I refreshed, well, it was time to jump in. :)
Good afternoon Owls.
Want2- you are so right. That is my dream vacation - and I get to make it in a week and a half.
Sorry you still feel crappy- you too IBB.
Spent my afternoon at the mall!! Wahoo!! Sales, sales, sales. 70 percent off of clearance price.
MEK never did poop out my earing, so I bought new ones. A new purse (need to test the strength of Mr. G's closet fixing) and so much more. Clearance stuff for the grandbabies- 1.97 a shirt, and I got several! And the cutest little biker chick boots for Brynn and Elmo undies. I love clearance sales. Shirts, dress pants, bra's, sweater and I spent a total of less than $100.00 including the purse and the 14 karat earings. I am sooooooo happy.
Almost better than sex!! (dont' tell Mr.G)
Sacbarb- I hope you have a great time in SD.
Goldie Woo Hoo!! Congrats on all the great finds today. I hate shopping but you make it sound fun.
BonO....now I am getting Oregon envy. I have always wanted to drive down the west coast! I have heard the Oregon coastline is beyond divine! I travelled on the train once to Portland but didn't see the ocean. For once I am not working the whole summer and it is just one ferry ride from Vancouver Island to Washington state so if I start saving my pennies, it could truly be a possibility! Oh now I am getting all fired up...gotta go!!! I am heading over to the library to get some Lonely Planet books about Oregon! This could be very cool!!!!
jl- I love a sale. I refuse to pay full price for anything and finding stuff I like that fits and is a fraction of the price is awesome.
My Pepper is 4 today- have to go sing to her and give her the new toy we bought her!
Hiccup...oops sorry. Hey little...(hiccup)...towelettes, how's it going in the bird house!? (Hiccup)...my head doesn't hurt anymore. Oh no, I think I see (hiccup) 2Maureens...BUUUURRRRRRRP!! Excuse me. Maybe I better sit down. I'll just (hiccup) plop down on the sofa...oops...parden me...(hiccup)sorry...watch your wing...coming through(hiccup)...does this feather belong to anyone...awe there nice comfy couch...so tired...close my...eyes...for a... sec...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Good evening:
We are heading to the arena for daughter to ride..so dinner is buffet:
Wines and Champagne
Fresh baked sour dough bread
Ceasar Salad
Poached Salmon
Baked Halibut
Baked Potato with all the fixins
Sauteed baby carrots, peas in the pod, crookneck squash
Creme Broulee
or Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
or Mango Sorbet
Caf or Decaf espresso
Enjoy...
ROFLMAO at Shirley. Hang on honey- dont' fall off that couch. I'll move the naughty mat closer just in case you slip off...
So glad the headache is better..at least for now!
Dinner sounds wonderful thanks nonmercy, I'll make a plate for Shirley and keep it warm until she is done snoozing......
Sshhhhhhhh....Chew softly, we don't want to wake Shirley. And when she does, she will have one hell of a hangover!
GOLDIE - can I go shopping with you sometime? You are the queen of that, too!!
NOWMERCY - You outdid yourself with meals today! I tip my wing to you! Yummmmy yummmy!
Hi Owls! I hope you had a nice as day where you are as we had here. Finally the sky was clear, the sun was shining and the temps were warm enough to spend some time outside. It was just a tint taste of Spring... enough to get me thru til April.
Joey~ Once a FIRST whore, always a whore. Congrats on being first AGAIN.
There are so many places I have been and so many I would like to see, but for now I am so happy to be here in the PNW. After living here for 10 years, it is still the place where I am happiest. Though, in the middle of the winter when the rain is falling for the 30th day in a row, I dream of going to:
~ The Grand Canyon (I have never seen it, except on that Brady Bunch episode.)
~ Disneyland again! (We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back with the whole family.)
~ Greece and Turkey (Love their food and would love to see the white buildings against the blue sea.)
~ Rio de Janeiro (I was invited to a wedding there in August, but no way I will be able to afford it.)
~ Train trip across Canada.
~ Baltimore and DC... I want my kids to see their grandpa again before he passes. Plus they are starting to learn about US history, so going to the capital would be fun at this age.
~ A Rosie Cruise. Just because it would be so much fun!
I am just as happy to wonder around the PNW though. I wouldn't mind going up to Vancouver and Victoria again and seeing what else there is to discover in BC. I also would love to check out Portland and the OR coast. I was pregnant almost as soon as I moved into our home here, so there is a lot I still have not seen.
You bet Mo. Anytime. I consider it a sport. When we buy vehicles or big purchase stuff they always start talking price to Mr. G. He throws his hands up and says "no way- you have to sell her", because I leave no stone unturned and have stared down many a salesman........lol
And heaven forbid the sale price doesnt' ring up, or they tell me that it really is not the one on sale and was in the wrong place. I invoke the rule of the State that they have to sell it for the advertised price- bait and switch laws.
First of all....Joey ~~ No, that was NOT a typo...VIG (@6:16pm) did not say "organ envy" :o)
Anybody else want to see Goldie (@6:07pm) in her Elmo undies? Oh, my mistake, those were for Brynn?
Shirley ~~ Glad you're feeling better...or at least 'feeling no pain'. Here's a little thought: The human brain is incapable of holding a positive and a negative thought at the same time, and -- hard as it is sometimes -- we get to choose.
Nowmercy ~~ 6 More Words....."Life is short. Eat dessert first!" Could I just have some creme broulee and champagne for now? Gotta get back to work.
I'll be waiting for a book report, VIG! and where's our Monday MEK blog?
and wow, just saw Glynis in the nest. Have VIG pick you up on her way, and we'll terrorize the Oregon Coast!! Late summer?
lol@bon bon- Silly girl the Elmo undies are for Brynn. I bought the Minnie Mouse ones for myself...
Glynis...you too can have OREGON (lol BonO) envy...meet you on the way there!!! Come to B.C. and we'll have the picnic Tink and I talked about on the other blog at Willows Beach!!!!
Hey, everybody, I've got peanut butter cookies fresh out of the oven and ice cold milk. Anybody want some?
How could I forget...
~India because it is part of my heritage and I would love to go to an Ashram like in the book "Eat, Pray, Love"
~...and from the same book, I would love to see Bali. She made it sound like paradise. I just don't know that I would like the plane trip.
Actually, the plane trip is what is holding me back from going to many places. I just don't enjoy plane travel AT ALL. My mom was a flight attendant LONG ago and she always made it sound so glamorous. People were treated well and the airlines took pride in giving good service. Now it is just like "sit down, shut up and be grateful if we land this plane safely."
I think that this is why many of my top places to go are within the US, so I can drive or take a train. **Notice I didn't say a BUS! There are some dangerous people on those buses, aren't there Joey?**
Barb in WA~ When are you coming up to visit me? We need to chat!
Bon~ we are possibly going to go to Seaside in a few weeks. Have never been there and we might visit for my daughter's birthday.
VIG~ A picnic in BC?? I am THERE! Sounds wonderful and I just love Canada.
Glynis~~Still there? How fun! I was born in Astoria so Seaside was my closest beach growing up. Lots of history in that lil ol' town. Lewis & Clark camped there quite a while. Let me kniow if/where you go. It'll be chilly, but living at the base of the mountains, you know how to do chilly!
Excuse me Bon...
Just Lin~ Hot cookies and Milk? I am THERE!! Yummm... I might need to bake some now just because it will be in my head all night.
Bon~ Sorry... but cookies, you know! I will let you know about Seaside. I am not sure if we will go to the beach (even with it being cold) or if we will go north to Vancouver to visit the Aquarium. My daughter LOVES hotels, so we wanted to go somewhere for a weekend trip for her birthday. I just hate that the train up to Vancouver from Seattle is really a BUS! I mean, if I wanted to ride a bus I would call Greyhound, not Amtrak!
I am chilled now. Going to take a hot bath. TTYL!!
Hi Owls...
I am not feeling well, this damn cold won't go away, and I think it has settled into my bones, as the chill is overwhelming. I left work early and jumped into bed, I have been there ever since. Just got up to have tea and toast, as I have not eaten all day, I am just not hungry!
I hope everyone has a great nite!
This is ever so strange as I never get sick, and the chills, never had them in my life.
Good evening my owl friends,
I feel the need to unpack after going on all the wonderful vacations today. Thank you Maureen for a beautiful blog offering. I must agree with Tink about that backyard swing at this time in my life. The gentle warm breeze, a slow moving swing, the sweetly sung songs from God's gift of his birds, and the soft feel of the grass under my feet as I slip my feet out of my sandals. Tinka, I would love to join you, and yes it is called contentment.
I've had computer problems today, but will be back later to share my dream vacation, of which I've taken many times over the years. The dream that will not be fulfilled is a much
wanted trip to Africa. I have to live that one through books and documentaries on television.
It's not my heritage but I'm so fascinated by it's people, animals, and cultures.
See you a bit later.
Ronnie
mo
So Sorry, forgot to say:
Thanks for the daily blog, it is so appreciated...
:O)
Sorry forgot something else...
I have not checked my myspace or my e-mails, so If I don't get back to you, please don't feel slighted.
I will check them tomorrow...
Thanks!
Shirley,
OMG! "Hey little towelettes." You are so funny. I agree with Maureen, you've got one hell of a headache coming your way. At least Goldie moved the naughty mat by the couch for you. Here's a big ole bucket for when the goin' get's really rough.
The door for that job was closed because there is another one on it's way. You'll see, besides, you wouldn't want to be around someone who would do you this way.
BBL.
Ronnie
Bon Oregon - I would love to make a trip with VIG to see you. Where is our PNW BBQ going to be this summer?
Nowmercy - I just feel like some salmon right now.
Zona - So nice to see you posting in the afternoon. Usually you are a true Night Owl.
VIG,
I'm afraid they'd have trouble selling tickets for that. I sing my heart out, but I can't carry a tune. :) I just finished performing a Dreamgirls concert in my living room. LOL! I had forgotten how much I love the song "Listen" until Tinka mentioned the movie. Now, I can't stop listening to it. It's such a powerful song about finding your own voice and believing in yourself, but despite the inspiration, I won't be auditioning for Broadway anytime soon. ;)
Cpgem: {{Hugs}} Hope you feel better soon!
just_lin~~
**snicker**
i think i've got him just about brainless~~
GLYNIS!!!!
We do need a get together!
Are you really thinking about Seaside?? I'm going to be camping just outside of Seaside March 21,22,23.
It's the beginning of some Oregon Spring Break so if you are going in March better start looking to book soon!
Bon'o~~
Is Little Creek Cove the place just North of Newport at Agate Beach?
I have been wanting to take my mom there and have not done it.
VIG ~~ Just for you, I scanned a couple photos to MySpace that will help you rethink that bit about wanting Shirley Temple curls!
LOM, JustLin, BarbinWa, ronniegirl, amicus, et al.....sorry I keep missing you guys. Hugs!
Oooooohhhh...my head...spinning...spinning...ooohhhstop spinning. Not good. Spinning not good. Must...get...to...bathrrr...oooohhhhhhh. Glad that bucket was there. Mat feels soft...must...sleep...some...more...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Barb in Wa ~~ Yes. If you haven't already check: www.littlecreekcove.com
Because they're all privately owned condos they're all very different, but you can check them all out by name on the website. Book early!
Maureen- The DWTS cast list has been revealed !
*setting 2 aspirin and a bottle of water on mat for Shirley, and covering up with a nice fleece blanket*
Carol, hope you feel better. Snuggle in and don't worry about us. We will carry on while you get better.
Do I smell cookies? mmmmmmmmmmm
Who is on it want?????
Is it okay to post it here Goldie?
I think so- its not a spoiler to a show...Is it?
You can send me a myspace msg. if you prefer.
MEK just posted a new blog on Myspace about her golfing day.
I did Goldie. I thought that people on the west coast might not know yet or want to know.
thanks iteach
Got it W2- thank you. I am always too nosey to wait, don't care if I get spoilers- but understand that people want to wait to find out.
Is that Shirley I hear snoring?
Are you feeling better tonight W2?
Have you had to go to work?
I went to Perez Hilton's website to find out who is dancing.
Very interesting.....
I'm already predicting that it will be a female winner this year.
BonO....I went looking on your myspace page for those curls but can't see them....but I did find a very handsome young man singing....woohoo!
Amicus..more six words:
From shower and living room stages
Amicus is most definitely Broadway Bound
Not feeling much better Goldie, but thanks for asking.
Well that sucks W2. It seems like anyone really getting the crud is getting it hard. Knock on wood we have been spared so far in my house.
But after spending 5 days with the babies and a birthday party with all their little cousins there, I am pretty sure my time is coming.
Good night W2- and anyone else up.
Please make sure that Shirley is covered and has the bucket close by!
Hope EVERYONE feels better tomorrow and you have pleasant dreams tonight.
I am so sorry... Shirley.. I should have never left you alone with that last gallon!!!??
I promise it will never happen again...
But I was at work.. Damn those customers making me work... didn't they know it was a holiday...
Just_lin...WOOOO HOOOO. ya sneaky little thang you... way to stemroll right up there...

Goldie - your man, Stricker is here !! :-)
Dream vacation - Ireland
Dreaded Vacation - if someone wanted to put me on a cruise boat - oh good Lord - shoot me -
I am going to bed - didn't get much sleep last night..
Not really impressed with the celebrity list for DWTS - oh well..
Hope everyone had an excellent day - and have a GREAT tomorrow..
MEK Nite nite.
Mek,
Not want to go on a cruise? Just hitting a long drive off the back of the ship should make you wanna go. It's a regular driving range back there, astro-turf and all. Of course, noone knows how far the ball went...lol.
Good night and I'm glad you enjoyed your day.
Ronnie
I was going to stay until the 200 hundred march, but I'm too lazy tonight to even sit at my computer.
I feel like a bear in hibernation. Moving in slow motion and always tired.
Let's hope I get my bounce back tomorrow!
Good evening everyone! I'm feeling much better , just a little congestion left.
Carol~ I very rarely get sick, but I asked for this one by not taking care of myself in Vegas. I knew better than let myself get run down, something I have always nagged Mr Mary about!
Shirley~I remember the first time I was turned away for a job. I left feeling so rejected because many of my friends had been hired and I knew they were in need of more help. Where I got the guts to do it I don't know, but I turned around. walked back in there and told them that I was just as qualified, if not more. A week later I was hired.
I know you will find that perfect job. You might want to sober up first lol!!
Goldie~ My girlfriend has a knack for finding the best sales and bargain bins. I love to shop with her.
Zona~ Spill it! What about the new neighbors!
Count me in on the Italy trip! I would love to travel anywhere and everywhere, but I would have to go alone. Mr Mary/MI hates flying. Vegas is as far as he will go. I am glad I will not be sitting alone watching the tide rise and fall. I could listen to the ocean and seagulls for hours. My favorite memory of this was in Hawaii. I stood by the shore at sunset. Not very romantic by myself LOL!! Still, a wonderful memory.
Sorry for the long post. Feels good to feel good again!
iteach Sweet dreams.
MEK` Any idea where the tournament will be broadcast?
Good night IBB, feel better
Night MEK~ Don't get run down! You know what can happen!
ack.. sorry haven't been back in a while.. hope the no trolls got in as I left my post from the door with my bat.. VISTA crashed .. for the 3rd time.. and I'm just settling back in.
Anyway.. HELLOOO!!!!!!
:)
Reading some of my past post's, I see I'm a little bit long winded. I'll try to keep this short, but this is my favorite subject...fishing.
For many years Mr. Ronnie and I game fished the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Our favorite was Los Cabos that is surrounded by the Sea of Cortez. We fished many tournaments for marlin, but my favorite was bill fishing. Once we took my mother out with us and she landed two sails. Before we all went to bed that night, we told her we'd get one of them mounted, which made her happy. In the wee hours of the morning, I heard something going on at the back of the boat. I went up there and lo and behold, it was Mother pouring a huge bucket of water over her largest fish. She heard me snickering and turned to me and said, "Since he's being mounted, I didn't want him to shrink". Gotta love that lady.
Many happy sunshine memories over the years. I rather doubt that I even have very good 'sea-legs' anymore. One of Mr. Ronnie's hobbies was underwater photography and I have many beautiful pictures which included my son and me among very exotic and colorful species of fish. My daughter is not a diver, so sorry to say she's not included in our underwater "family portraits". lol
Ah, sweet memories....and if I make it to Heaven someday, there will be a boat waiting to take me out one more time.
Once again, I am long winded. It's Maureen's fault, she brought up the subject.
Ronnie
Carol
I hope you aren't coming down with the flu. The flu shots aren't working this year so the doctors are handing out prescriptions of Tamiflu to knock it out. I have my prescription in my refrig.along with the generic Zofran for vomitting. If I get sick there's no way I could get any further than my frig.
Shirley
I hope someone tossed you those heavy duty vitamins that you take before and after drinking. My nephew isn't here to remind me what they are called. Gosh darn it..what are those pills called that stop hang overs?
dreamatexas, my fellow Texan~~
I think the those pills that stop hangovers are called "Magic"...lol
Ronnie
Sorry Dreama, I haven't a clue. Looks like everyone has gone. I read MEKs blog. Looks like she's in golf heaven! I can't wait to read the next one!
I would love to report that a gorgeous, single Italian man moved in next door. That he wanted to use my pool this summer, because there isn't one at his house. That he asked to hang his clothes on my line-cuz he lacks that too. He'd love to show me the fireplace..we don't have one. Oh and he loves t-birds, again not one over there...alas this all would not be true. My new neighbors are a young couple in their 20's, buying their first home. HOWEVER---the house across the street just sold!!! So there is still hope!!
Good night my wonderful owls. I am hoping to get a good nights sleep because we leave very early tomorrow. I will check in if I get up early enough. I am not sure if I will have access to a computer while I am gone so I may not be able to check in. Be back on March 3.
BARB: Have a safe trip and loads of fun. Tears of happiness are ok too! I will miss you!
Mo~ you know I don't like this topic! :)~ :D yeah, right~

Tina the answer to that question would be, ummmmm, let me think, a big fat no! There is no thinking involved.:)
Good morning Owls. I am off to the airport to fly half way across Canada. I'm going to a conference in Lovey's part of the world!
Zona...you still up? Hey, if we are dreaming big about trips today, let's dream big about everthing...hence hope HG or PB buy the house across the street!!!
Good morning, iteach. Have a great day of teaching!
Good morning!
Barb..have a WONDER filled trip!!
VIG.. wishing you a safe flight and great conference.. want to say what it is?
I wonder if all the owls are tired from all the virtual vacations yesterday?
CAROL: Gal..I hope you feel better..sounds like influenza.. chills are a big sign.
WANT: Are you feeling ANY better?
SHIRLEY: How's your head?
RENEE: Going to DLAND is really hard with younger kids..older is fine..it regresses EVERYONE to the age of wonder anyway. I get the money thing too, single mom...I'm hoping to scrape up enough to go to Yellowstone for spring break..and Yellowstone is only 4 hours away..but then there's gas, food, lodging and missing self employed income. I hope you are able to get there sometime.. but it really is magical no matter the age (over 8 I think)
Okay..I'm going to send cyber kleenex and real care to all you sneezing, wheezing, hacking, shivering, puking, fatigued owls...lets get you kids BETTER soon!
For Zona~ he-he~ :)~
Think of me
think of me fondly,
when we've said goodbye.
Remember me
once in a while -
please promise me
you'll try.
Think of me,
think of me waking,
silent and
resigned.
Imagine me,
trying too hard
to put you
from my mind. :)~
