Confessions of an Addict

our dear MEK
confesses her addictions
on our daily blog

Confessions of an Addict

By MEK in AZ

NO, NO, not drugs!! It’s another kind of addiction. Obsession might be a better word. I feel the need to “collect” any kind of scrapbook, card making or stamping product out there. I have been attempting to reorganize my craft area and am not having much success. I purchased several storage cubes to make a user friendly area in our loft. I collected TONS of coupons over the weeks/months from family and neighbors, in order to get them all at a discount. It took awhile to convince Mr. MEK to FINALLY put them together for me (golf course was always calling his name, and I don’t blame him). We spent two days working together to assemble them and get them into the perfect configuration. SO, I started filling the drawers, labeling, etc. and I discovered, I HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF!!!!!!!! Good grief!! I am ADDICTED!!! I AM OBSESSED!!!!

I must own EVERY tool known to a scrap booker (heck, some I own twice – LOL) Some I forgot that I owned!! …….. die cutting systems, adhesives, punches, stamp sets, ink pads, pens, pencils, chalk, ribbons, OH MY, (yes, even found another bag filled with holiday ribbon!!), brads and eyelets to last a life time, tons of embellishments, and PAPER coming out, well, you know, …… patterned paper, cardstock, card stacks, kits from QVC - you name it – I own it.

I have filled all of the cubes and drawers and still have TONS of stuff left in the other room. I spent so much time “collecting” things that I don’t actually “make” anything. To feed the addiction, I just bought several rubber stamps and a new circle punch on my way home today, just because. AND, to make matters worse, I have two Michael’s coupons that are burning a hole in my pocket – trouble is, I own the WHOLE store and it’s getting harder and harder to find anything to buy!! So, I need to get over the obsession of buying and collecting and actually MAKE something!! But, you see if I make something, then I might have to buy more stuff! Therefore, the addiction and the obsession!!!!! (Okay, I am also obsessed with using too many exclamation points!!!!)

So, I was just wondering – does anyone else have any addictions or obsessions? Do you buy stuff that you never use? Do you collect something you have no idea why you do?

OH – and to feed my addiction/obsession, QVC will have having scrap booking day Sunday night and Monday – Mr. MEK said he was going to have the channel blocked in our hotel room!! LOL what’s a girl to do?

I hope everyone has an excellent day!!

MEK..Great confession. I have to say, the only thing I collect are empty coffee cups in my car. I collect via not throwing away, too much paper, I collect via not letting, too many old resentments and fears, I collect via being on the Nest , too many unreterned calls..you get the point.

I am very much looking forward to hearing about collections/obsessions today..

Meantime: Friday Breakfast is served:

Banana/Nutella/Peanut Butter crepes
Florentine Crepes (With spinach, mushrooms, red peppers, egg and yes or no onions)
Fresh seedless sweet watermelon slices
Honey dew slices

Good Morning Owls!

Congrats on 1st Tinka.

Mek LOL @ this blog.
My O.C.D is my excuse for collecting.
My basement is a craft- painting studio and my friends have often said,"We don't need to shop in the stores, we can come here".
My sister use to come once a week a grab stuff to keep her busy on the weekend.
I use to own a craft shop in the 90s called Memories.Craft supplies just carried over to my basement & I keep on shopping.
Fun blog Mek thank you.

Thanks for breaky Nowmercy!
Goldie, did u know it is "Kinky Friday" LOL

scirish said...

Welllll....no, I never heard of such a thing! Ok..Maybe...a little..Ummmm......all right..OK... YES!!!! Happy now?

My name is Scirish and I am a Beadaholic *sniff*

I love buying bead stuff..At this very moment I have stuff sitting in my cart at Fire Mountain. I love organizing it, planning what I'm gonna buy, planning what I'm gonna make and yes, actually making it.

The problem is how much I already have, do I really NEED to buy anything? Ummm, no. But what I can't figure out is why, when I plan a design to make, it always includes something I need to go buy! Why can't I be inspired with a design that only uses what I have???

There is some diabolical force at work here..

spring said...

Here are my kinky owls for today.
Hey Scirish.. diabolical indeed!

Have a great morning all..I have early clients so gotta get going..had to run a sled over to my daughter's school..they are playing with the dogsledders today.. big race in Montana this weekend.. such interesting cultural stuff, last week it was a Pow Wow, now dog sledding..it is a wonder they learn the basics..

Peace...kinks...ahem...or amen..

Mek Thank You for the Topic. I can't really think of an obsession right now, but maybe later I will think of one. Maybe I am in denial LOL O I just thought of one ~ cigarettes, my addiction.

Good morning, Tinkatia, MEK, nowmercy and favorite fag hag Goldie!

MEK: Welcome back! Did you meet uscDEE?

No, I can't say I have any OCD's associated with things.

What do you call a scrapbook made by the mother of a boy who just moved to Nashville? A scrappybook.

Groan. I need breakfast. Thanks, nowmercy... I love crepes!

Have a great Friday, owls.

Glynis: Look for a response to your question about miracles soon!

cpgem8, caryn, and all who responded yesterday: Thanks! There is nothing more rewarding than to write something that makes people think about something differently!

Take MEK's blog today. I"m never going to be able to walk past the arts and crafts section in a store again without a little shudder of horror. LOL!

Tinkatia said...

Nowmercy - I wish you lived closer so I could share breakfast with you. Eating cyberfood alone leaves a lot to be desired.

Mek - You are my kind of girl - a collector. I don't think my daughter has ever been in my house without saying "Mom you have so much stuff". I love collecting. Besides my doll and bear collection I get it in my head that I have to finish a collection once I start it. In 1996 I started collecting the
101 Dalmation dogs from McDonalds. Then in 2002 they put out the 102 collection. So far I have over 200 from both collections but 23 are doubles so I still have some to find. I just got one the other night off EBay. It was 99 cents but $5.00 for shipping. I find them at toy shows and thrift shops. I thought they were for my grandchildren but now they are getting too old for them. I also have a Shrek collection. I could go on but it is so boring. Let's just say I collect. I also don't like to throw away boxes. One never knows if that size might be needed. I save wrapping paper and ribbon. I learned that one from my mom. She was into recycling long before it was the fashion. Oh yes Mek I also have all the stuff for scrapbooking. I just haven't started doing it yet. I signed up for a class but didn't get there. I am still on their books so I plan to attend before my birthday.
Writing all this down has given me the incentive to start sorting ,recycling and just plain destroying. Thanks for giving me that incentive Mek. A great blog
Thank you.

Good Morning Feathered Friends!!

TINKA - Congrats on being #1! But we already knew that about you ;)

NOWMWERCY - Have mercy!! I want one of each crepe, please! Aww crap, make it 2 of the nutella ones! If you cook like this everyday, may I move in with you? LOL

MEK - OMG, GREAT TOPIC! I have the same obsession with card making supplies. I am currently making 50 cards and I needed to buy nothing in order to complete them! I have so much crap on my desk right now, that I am reduced to working in a 6 inch space!! I love craft stores and flea markets for fun stuff to embellish with.

Now, if only I could hoard my money the way I hoard my craft supplies!

*Waving HI* to Grandma Moses, Whabby,Goldie, Scirish and ♥Lovey♥ !

Lynn D said...

Do I collect????ROFLMAO MEK!!

Let's see where do I begin. It all started with a bowl. Yes a bowl that was Mr. Lynn D's Grandmothers. I loved the pattern and then that started the hunt!

Then I discovered ebay and there was no going back!! I found the pattern but then researched it and found out there really was not a pattern name. It was made in Ohio by the Universal potteries also known as Universal Cambridge. They went out of business in the 1970's. I have more pieces than ever and I am always looking for more.

Ebay started a collecting frenzy on many levels:

1. Pottery and dinnerware
2. Vintage Costume Jewelry
2. Vintage hats and purses
3. Vintage Glass
4. Art Glass
5. Books, Books and Books
6. Vintage vanity items
7. Vintage Camera equipment
8. Vintage Postcards
9. Vintage clothing (This actually started in my teens) I have slowed down on that one tho.
10. Old Quilts ugly and pretty!
11. Old kitchen implements (This one is just weird because I hate to cook)
12. Anything that strikes my fancy!

I am sure there is more I just can't think what right now.

I have thought of taking pictures of my collections and putting them on myspace but that would mean I would have to dust everything! Oh did I mention Mr. Lynn D says my biggest collection is dust!!!

This is how I started selling on ebay. I realized other people were just as obsessed with collecting as I am.

Right now I sell alot of vintage sheet music. My problem is parting with stuff I buy to sell. I am always amazed when Paper products have survived 50-100 years and the art work on some of them is just amazing!

Oh boy now you have me jonesing for garage sell and estate sell season!!

Thanks MEK for the topic. Mr. Lynn D may fly to AZ to smack you!! LOL

Tinka: Wahoo 1st and the word of the Day!!!

Good morning Nowmercy: Dog sledding I want to go do that!

Hi Goldie, lovey,Grandma moses and Scirish!!

Hey Scirish will you make me a Necklace??? It would add to my collection of jewelry!

Lynn D said...

Hey Mo: Maybe I need to clean some stuff out and send it to you and MEK for card embellishments!! Then you guys can collect my junk too! LOL

DreamaTexas said...

Good morning Tinkatia, Nowmercy, Wabbear, Grandma Moses, Maureen,Goldie, & Lovey and anyone else that I might have missed. Right now I am famished and can only concentrate on those crepes and soy milk. I will return after feeding my growling belly to delve into my obsessions. I must give it some thought.
Tinkatia um, I think Elvis sent you a message on Myspace via me. The strangest things happen at times. I guess I read too many Sylvia Browne books because her spiritual powers have rubbed off on me a bit today.

Tinkatia said...

Maureen - You are so sweet.
I also don't like to throw away cards that have been given me. Most of them have been selected with care and I want to save them. I have used them in the past for school crafts etc but I still have so many saved they fill another Rubbermaid container.

Whabbear - I loved your long informative essay on religion. I really need to read it a couple more times before I can talk intelligently about it. Remember I am a senior now. It takes us longer. Speaking of longer, you have mail in your box from me. I have been waiting a long time for an answer. I know you are busy.
No worries.

DreamaTexas said...

Lynn D - A collector big time. You will have to give me a lesson on EBay sometime. I know you helped me by giving me the help number. Why do I have to change my password every time I want something? Last week, I spent the whole night paying for 3 little Dalmations. I was exhausted. I would change my password and 'they' would still say it was invalid. Frustration big time.

The crepes were great nowmercy but I think I should finish off with some shredded wheat.

Tinka: I am not sure what is going on. Do you have to change your password on Ebay or Paypal?? I still think it maybe your browser.
PS. I have a box lot of dalmation items coming in the mail! LOL

Barbwa: Give me the name of the pattern and what pieces you need for your royal copely. I love a good hunt!!! I have to say tho I am cheap!!!! I set a price that I will pay and rarely go over it. Well unless I get into a frenzy and have to have it. LMAO

lovey: I used to craft all the time when the kids were little. I bought so much Aleene's items I should have had stock in her company. When we moved 10 years ago I had to clean everything out and that seemed to cure me for now! You just never know when you will get the bug again!

Nowmercy: I wish you lived closer! I could use a massage! I just don't trust anyone! LOL Paranoid yes!!

Lynn D said...

Oh and Tinka: I have drawers full of Cards that were given to me! I just can't toss them either!

I am starting a scrapbook of the cards that some of our lovely blog buddies have sent me. The scrap book is vintage of course.

♥LOVEY♥ said...

LynnD OMG Aleene's YES!!

I'm such a craft pack rat, I have rolled bees wax candles with glitter dust that I made in the store,I put out at Christmas time. I refuse to burn them down.... I light them Christmas Eve for a shortime, blow them out, repack them till next year... BUT..... I have about 100 sheets of wax that I could make new ones every year..>>bang<< LMAO.

DreamaTexas said...

The moment I mentioned Elvis, Tinkatia flew over to have a looksie. Girl, I didn't know you could move that fast.
All morning long he's been singing nonstop: I want you, I need you, I love you,A big hunk of love, Are you lonesome tonight, Stuck on you, All shook up, Love me tender,...What bums me out is that Elvis hasn't even so much as given me one sly grin. He just stares at Tinkatia's picture and sings to her!

Lynn D said...

Lovey: LMAO!!! I think you are another twin!!!

I made candles for xmas presents one year! I actually poured my own and I pressed flowers to decorate the outsides!! I think I have two huge blocks of wax buried in the garage somewhere!!

PS: I cannot burn a candle! I only have them around for power outages!LMAO

My friends give them to me and come over and say you still have that damn candle???

Lynn D said...

Oh I have been rude! Good Morning Dreama!!

Just_Lin said...

Tinkatia Congrats on #1 today. Hope this is a much better day for you.

Dianne/Denver LMAO @ your "Owl Said" comment. Sorry to tell you, but no one's having Custard but me!

MEK Excellent blog. I certainly understand the temptation to go nuts with the scrapbooking stuff. I got a little taste of it a while back when I was first getting into it. You don't want to be left "wanting" when your working on you scrapbook. I'm not into it right now and I know I have more than enough stuff if I want to restart it.

I was a smoker for about 40 years, smoking almost 2 packs a day at the end. On March 23 it will be 2 years since I quit. I had never tried to quit before and am still surprised and proud of myself that I managed to do it.

DreamaTexas said...

Awww, LynnD you are never rude. You're always as absolute peach!

A woman after my own heart! (wonder where that expression came from? Or if I even have it right??)

I LOVE vintage stuff...my Mom started me off early going to Estate sales. We furnished my room with glorious antiques when I was about 10-11. Some of which I still have!

I am a non-discriminatory collector, I have everything from pottery to.. ummm.. well.. a minnow bucket

Estate and Garage sales??? I'm there

goldie said...

good morning all!

I thought about this and came to the conclusion that I don't collect anything. But then I remembered 'yes you do you idiot-just ask Mr. Goldie.'

About 5 years ago we moved to our current house. We moved as much as we could (only a few miles away) and left the big stuff for the movers. One day Mr. Goldie picks up a box, and shrieks (I am sure he wouldn't like that description) "You are moving a box of EMPTY boxes?"
Well duh, yes. Of course I am. Do you know how challenging it is these days to get good (free) boxes for xmas gifts? And when you do get a unique size box you save it for that gift you just know it will fit in the future. I mean come on, how does he not know that?

So anyway, that is my addiction. A cardboard box for any occasion :)

Congrats on your 2 years smoke free just_lin. For me it was 17 months ago. An addiction I never want to return to!

DreamaTexas said...

My addiction used to be collecting limited edition artist dolls and Barbies. I also collected Beanie Bears.
Now my addiction is make up. I have drawers full of it. I have 2 crystal, ooops make that 3 crystal jars sitting in my bathroom filled to the brim with make.
My other addiction is perfume. I have 2 decorative wall shelves in my guest bathroom that hold my perfume. I have 3 bottles of Gorgio. Why do I have 3 bottles? I don't know why!. I have Tommy Girl,Sunset Blvd, JLo,Fifth Avenue, etc, etc.
My third addiction is photographs. I never put my camera down. I have traveled sometimes for 4 days straight caught up in scenic photography. I take pictures of wildlife, wild flowers, old barns, sunsets, jellyfish on the beach, surfers, ships coming into port. There must be 2000 photos that I have taken of just scenery.

Just_Lin said...

Goldie Congratulations to you too. I will never smoke another cigarette. I'm not the kind of person that could have just one. I'd be into it again big time if I did that.

Paul Franson said...

Good morning everyone!

LOL MEK @ TOTD! I LOVE it. And now, I'm not addicted to putting things it caps ... they just seemed right in this situation. I can't help if they all ran together, can I?

My name is Caryn and I am a recovering scrapaholic. This is the part wehre everybody says, "Hi Caryn".

It takes every fiber of my being to avoid buying the latest gadget or gizmo. Lucky for me, it's a bit of a drive from my house to Michaels and I hate driving in this area more than I love scrapbooking. My downfall is things like Scrapbook Expo - I justify the trip and the spending because they are only in the bay area 3 times a year and I might miss something really important if I don't go, right?!!

Where my addiction REALLY goes awry is my picture-taking. I mean c'mon now ... do I really NEED 15 pages of photos of my dogs and kitty? And who really cares about my last 4 trips to Disneyland?

Now that my kids are grown, there are very opportunities to take pictures of them and it's rare that I have something to add to their albums. So in order to feed my cropping obsession, I am always looking for things to take pictures of.

I suppose what I'm really addicted to is the socialization that takes place at the scrapbooking workshops that I attend because I never crop at home unless I have a friend over who is cropping with me.

And MEK, I'm totally jealous. I dream of someday getting it together enough to create a cropping room. When we moved into our house nearly 3 years ago, I claimed the loft as my cropping space. Today it has become a graveyard for computer supplies/accessories. I swear when it comes to these things, having two in the IT business (hubby and child) at home is like living with Sanford & Son!

Looking forward to reading about everyone else's addictions/obsessions.

I wish everyone a happy Friday!

Much love,
Caryn

iced tea
hot tea
coffees
and all the additives!

bon appetite

maybe I need to start collecting cookbooks!!!

"My name is Scirish and I am a Beadaholic *sniff*"

Hi Scirish!

Tinkatia said...

Scirish - I was going to say that Lynn was 'a girl after my own heart' but I wasn't sure that was right. When I saw you write it I knew then it was right. (a lot of homonyms in that sentence). I don't know where that expression came from but it suited Lynn.

Lynn - I think it may be my Safari. I am having a Mac Geek come and look at my computer. Actually I won 7 computer lessons from him at the Christmas party so I am going to have one of the lessons be to check things over.

I just watched 'The Wedding' on Regis and Kelly. It was so touching. The bride and her two kids had been badly burnt in a fire. Wow, what they went through.

I am off to the groomer's with my 'fur-babies'. I wish you lived near-by Amicus. I would be bringing them to you.

Maureen - Thanks for the lovely lunch. It sounds gourmet to me.

Just_Lin said...

Oh, I forgot about Christmas wrapping paper. It is a joke with my family about how much paper, ribbons, bows, tags, etc., that I have. I could wrap Xmas presents for years without buying any more. But once I see it in the stores, there's so many that I like that I find it irresistable. I avoided it totally this last holiday. I wouldn't even walk down the aisles where it was in the stores. I made do with what I already had. Very proud of myself for that.

scirish said...

Maureen- thanks for the yummy lunch...did I mention my stash of vintage cookbooks? Oy Vay I may need an intervention.

altogether now "Hi Caryn"

DreamaTexas said...

Moweenie, oopsies Maureen, thank you for the lunch. I love Tilapia. I am so happy that now I don't have to to a drive by over to Burger King! Instead I now have a feast!

Lynn D said...

Goldie: LOL!! I had that empty box addiction too! Well because of Ebay. I started selling smaller things and got rid of the boxes. As far as presents I usually don't use boxes anymore. I love the decorative bags in every store! A little tissue and voila! A present.

Scirish: Oh boy us together might be a frightening thing! Some of the weird vintage items I have and can't part with.

A braille ashtray, A wooden slatted berry pickers box (some day I am going to make an outdoor end table out of it) A vintage toaster that opens on the sides but has no cord. I did finally give away a huge brass, what I thought for years might be a Railroad kerosene lamp, but I finally did research and found out it was an old kerosene heater made in England. I gave it away because I was tired of dusting it and tripping over it.

Dreama: Hang on to those perfume bottles! You will be amazed in a few years at how collectible those will become and what people will pay! Oh I don't collect makeup anymore. No use I am allergic to all eye makeup. But I am obsessed with anti wrinkle creams and lotions! LOL

Mo: Thank you for lunch!!! Sounds darn gourmet to me!

Just lin: I know who to call if I need xmas wrap. LOL

Tinka: I hope the MAC Geek is a big help!! I really keep thinking you have a virus going on there.

Ok check ya all later!

Paul Franson said...

Okay guys, please indulge me for a moment. I'm posting a link to a news report about the dogs in the temporary shelter in Reno. Anyway, here's the link if you're interested in reading the article or watching the news video:

Thanks! I will now return to reading the comments. I only got as far as Tink @ 10:47 when it got busy over here and I've spent the last hour trying to get back to reading.

Mercy, those crepes are lovely! Glad I got in early enough to help myself! Thanks for sharing!

Tinkatia said...

Lynn - So far Macs haven't got viruses. They are watching very closely because they say our day is coming. I think you were right about my browser. I think Safari is having trouble supporting myspace and Ebay. I am going to talk to my geek about switching to Mozilla Firefox. That's what VIG had to do. I think I am the only one of the 300 Mac members here at our club that has a myspace. They look at me like I am trying to relive my teenage years. You have to remember that most of these members are stodgy businessmen and use their computers at their work.

Good afternoon everyone!

MEK!! Great blog! I have an entire closet full of scrapbooking supplies. Have I cut ONE piece of paper? Stamped one? Used an embellishment? Glued anything? Made any attempt to assemble any kind of card or scrapbook at all? Nope. Nada. Uh-uh. And now I have talked myself into getting a cricut so that I can use all the wonderful supplies I have collected. I think there is just enough space in the closet for that cricut box. It should fit nicely next to stack of 'Creating Keepsakes' magazines I subscribe to, but have never read.

My mother collected all sorts of things too. She was an artist and every room is stuffed to overflowing with art supplies. There is a stack of frames and canvases that reach to the ceiling. She also loved to teach herself new crafts. Boxes and boxes of other craft supplies are laying around too. I guess it's true that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..except she had talent and I just have the dream!

Going to read all the posts and be back in a bit.

Paul Franson said...

Dreama, thanks for reminding me of my beanie baby addiction. I had 3 big plastic totes full -- I must have spent thousands of dollars over the years. I have one enabler friend who got me hooked on collecting beanies AND those very same McD's dalmations that Tinkatia mentioned.

A couple of years ago I donated my beanies to our church to be given as gifts in the children's Christmas parade.

My oh my! I just finished breakfast and Maureen's served up lunch already! Mmmmm, tilapia...one of my favorites!

Congrats
TINKA-- #1..!!!!
Good Day all...
So many interesting addictions...

Addictions...hhmmmmmm!!!
Well I think the nest has become my latest addiction...
But I think I am the most addictive personality out there!!!

Let's see..
I think it started in the 80's when I bagan Counted Cross stitch.. well I had (still do have )
enough supplies to make at least one pattern in every book!!and I own 100 books!!

O.K. then ... I started crochet.... had done it off and on... but my collection of yarn is stagering now!! But I crochet while watching T.V.... as to stock up on blankets for baby showers..

Well I think Beanie Babies came in there somewhere... and then....

I took photography classes and installed a dark room in my basement... I have a fully functioning dark room that I only get into about 3-4 times a year.. Now that is an addiction.. I could stay in there for hours... It is almost like therapy...But I have enough paper and supplies.. Oh and then of course I had to cut my own mats .. so now I have mat cutters and amt board to last a while!!

and last but not least.. Scrapbooking.. well it started with a Creative Memories party that a co-worker had... and I started going to her crops... and then my sister and I started talking.. and she became my Enabler!!! She introduced me to Michael's and QVC.. needless to say... I have quite the collection of that ... It is almost obscene...

and about the empty box thing and the gift wrap... ithought that the boxes were being thrifty..( trust me I work at a packing and shipping store.. and what we charge for boxes is highway robbery!!! )

And wrapping paper ... can you ever have enough!!!!

O.K. enough ... seems I can go on and on!!!

Must get ready for work... Have a good evening...
Will talk to you all later...
Hope MEK lands safely in the nest later...

Good day All!!!
Thanks for the wonderful gourmet meals!!!

LYNND: How far away are you from AZ? I would ship you some of the things mom collected, but that might just break the bank!

Every week I have to dust these round glass things..very pretty, but I'm not to sure what they are. From the 20's or 30's I believe. I know they LOVE dust though.

TINKA: You sure look bright eyed and fluffy feathered today! Congrats on #1.

NOWMERCY: No laughing. What is 'nutella'..? Can I use it in scrapbooking? ;)

LOVEY: 'Kinky' Friday?? Oh goody, I found a use for the left over paints and pipe cleaners...AND FELT!! ;)

SCIRISH: My best friend loves to make jewelry. She buys beads and supplies on EBAY. She has an addiction to fuel her obsession!

Back to reading. Oh, and speaking of reading..does anyone have more than enough books to last you the rest of your life--but can't help but buy more? I have shelves full of books..and I am STILL going to the VNA Book Sale this weekend. Note to self: BUY feather dusters and micro-fiber cloths.

Good afternoon all you wonderful owls. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Kinky Friday (thanks Lovey, love your tat).

MEK, Great blog. I'd rather think of myself as a 'collector' than a 'pack rat' which is what my kids call me. I, too have mounds of scrapbooking supplies and everytime I go to a store that sells craft stuff, I seem to find something else I can't live without. I have made scrapbooks for two of my kids and am working on the third, but it is going slowly. I have a regulation size pool table that is now filled with scrapbook stuff and, like Mo, I only have about a small square spot to really work. I don't work on it as much as I could/should because my other addiction is this blog. I never learned moderation!

I also collect anything with Pegasus on it. I finally had to tell my family to quit getting them for me because I was getting so many duplicates AND I am running out of room to put them.

Oh, and I guess I collect wrapping paper and other stuff to use on gifts too. Tinka, I got that from my Mom too. I thought she was the original recycler (is that a word?). My mom even recycled aluminum foil by washing it in the dishwasher. I draw the line at that. But, I do have a hard time throwing something away that could be used 'someday' including boxes. I did finally throw out a bunch of boxes, but I kept one of each size, just in case....

So, MEK, thanks for opening my eyes to the fact that I am addicted to collecting. Now, I will be looking for a support group.

MEK: Welcome back!! So what did you buy from QVC?? LOL! I watched the show and even let TINA know it was on..much to her dismay.

ibebold said...

I had QVC on at work that day... I ordered one thing and went back and cancelled it...

Tina~in_ut said...

MEK~ GREAT TOPIC!~ But why were you referring to MY house as YOUR loft???? I have so much scrapbooking stuff it's unreal....AND I live in Scrapbooking Mecca! I think it's just wrong to have a coupon in your pocket and nothing to buy. There should be a law against that! :)~

I also have a ton of cross-stitching and embroidery stuff~ Oh and I collect NASCAR stuff (mostly Dale Jarrett)....do you think it's a bit obsessive to have the confetti that was blown over the winner of one of the races? I used some of it for a scrapbook page~ :)~

Tinkatia~ Congrats on #1~

Note to self: get butt to nowmercy's house for free massage! :D

lol~ Hi Caryn~ :)

Lovey~ mwah~

Zona~ is Mr. Zona doing okay today? I mean color-wise?~ :)~

Just_Lin~ how was the makeup sex?~ :D

Lynn D~ I think you need to add NASCAR stuff to your stash.....you don't seem to have enuf stuff~ :)~

I think scirish is right...there IS a diabolical force at work!

JL and Goldie, congrats on not smoking for so long.

Tinka, congrats on #1 and the WOTD.

I love reading about everyone's collections. I don't feel so alone in my addiction now.

GRANDMA MOSES
Thank you for the shout out yesterday. I am catching up on all of the reading today... at least I am trying to.
ZONABABY
you would fit right in with my Dad. He is an avid book reader and has a collection that is extrodinare. At least he sees it that way. My Mom calls it clutter. :)

Sandie said...

MEK, I am YOU but living in GA! I have every tool, ink, marker, paper, ribbon, eyelet, etc. I used to be a Stampin'Up! demonstrator up until two months ago (I was my own best customer) so it's safe to say that I own just about everything in their catalog.

I used to use space in our bonus room upstairs but when my oldest son went to college two years ago, his bedroom became my office/craft room THE DAY AFTER HE LEFT. Poor boy, he sleeps in the guest room when he comes home. I'm so ashamed!

I have our old kitchen table in my new room and bought shelves from Lowes that are now FILLED with stamp sets and all my other stuff. I should take pictures and put it on myspace but I'm kind of embarrassed. :)

I also have loads of cross stitch stuff in the attic--haven't done that in years. I probably couldn't see to do it anymore!

The funny thing is, I hate clutter! I get rid of stuff as fast as I bring it in! I must drive my husband nuts now that I think about it! LOL

Okay, my other obsession is that I am addicted to the home sales businesses. OMG, I've never said that out loud before (is this out loud?)! I've sold Longaberger, Stampin Up! and currently sell Arbonne, Premier Designs Jewelry and am a health coach for Medifast. I think I really do need help.

Thank you, MEK, for bringing it to my attention.

Thank you all so much for talking about your addictions/obsessions. I'm not alone!! And, so many of us are so similar. I guess that's why we all feel cozy in the nest. :)

Okay, caught up on the comments!

Tinka, so glad you're feeling better today! Thanks for the word of the day! My Mom collects David Winters--she has a bunch!

Nowmercy, thanks for breakfast!

Scirish, LOL at more beads for a new design!

Grandma Moses, HI!!

Maureen, yea for cards! Thanks for lunch.

Dreama, you must smell good!

Just_lin, wrapping paper and Goldie, boxes! I know who to call when I have a gift to send!

"Hi, Caryn." Best of luck with the dogs--it's great that you are doing that.

SacBarb, I'll join your support group.

ZonaBaby, we'll help you use that scrap book stuff!! Check out splitcoaststampers.com for great ideas!

IBB, I love taking photos, too. Actually, that's a new obsession I forgot to mention . . .

Mary/MI, have a good dinner!

Tina, confetti for your NASCAR scrap book--sounds good to me!

Thanks so much, MEK, for a great topic. I feel cleansed. :)

Bon'O said...

Welcome home, MEK, and thanks for another interesting topic. Looks like I missed both breakfast and lunch, but I just made a giant seafood paella, and brought an assortment of wines from Trader Joe's. Let's get frisky. It's Friday!

First, a late-breaking bulletin for Tina ~~Good news....Costco now has Croc's in every size & color for only $21.99..........I knew you'd want to know!!

I've almost caught up with reading your posts as I put away the haul from Costco. I'll admit to a few of my own collections in a follow up post (maybe after a nap?), but for now will only say....

LynnD: Don't you dare let anyone touch those kitchen implements before I get back ~~ Especially if you have any red Bakelite! And, p.s. I, too, have a vintage art-deco toaster with fold-down sides-----complete with cord, and fully-functional!

Goldie ~~ Doesn't everyone have a box of boxes in the garage? I have a huge box, barely able to fit under the worktable, with boxes of every size all the way down to small earring/jewelry boxes inside ~~ like Russian nesting dolls. Just last night I found the perfect size box for mailing granddaughter's birthday gift today. Thank God I had the box...the postage was $18.30!

I need to read 'eBay for Dummies' so I can finally get rid of my mom's collection of Avon bottles and Dad's collection of every book ever written by Louis L'Amour (paperback).

Would someone please stir the paella for me while I have a little nap? Thanks! If it gets a bit dry, just add some wine!

scirish said...

Sandie-We all could have a cyber home party in our various areas and you could direct...being the experienced one and all!!!!

thanks on the congrats on the no smoking. Hardest thing I ever did was quiting. Childbirth was easier.

Welcome back MEK.

See, I knew you guys would understand the box full of empty boxes! So why doesn't the hubby.
Reminds me that I have to go root around in them and find the perfect one to ship off the grandbabies valentines pressies in.

bon bon , I will stir the paella, can I have some too? I love that stuff.

DreamaTexas said...

Sandie
I got the friends request thingie on Myspace. Thanks.
I finally got all of my errands done. Yeah! I went to wash my SUV. The line was so long so I figured I'd just do it myself at the self wash side. The power hose was stronger than me and I lost control of it and sprayed this poor boy who works there right in the chest and knocked him back like 3 feet. I never saw him enter the stall to empty the trash. I was like OMG, I can't beleive I just did that. I apologized to him 10 times. Luckily it is 80 degrees here today so he told me he'd sun dry quickly. Geez, I am way too dangerous at a car wash. Ugh!
Now I am going to scroll back up and look for the seafood and wine that I saw a moment earlier. Now that the lump is out of my throat I am hungry!

sacBarb said...

I forgot to say earlier a BIG Welcome back MEK. Loved reading your blogs on myspace.

Dreama: ROFLMAO I had such a visual when I read your post I spit my tea on the monitor. That employee will be more careful when he enters a washing stall from now on.

goldie said...

dreama, just thought I would share this with you. Our forecast for this weekend is for windchills up to 40 below zero, whiteout conditions and winds gusting up to 40 miles an hour. This is after the 14 inches of snow we had on Wed. Soooooooooooo...
Please think of me (Jodi, iteach and the rest of us midwesteners) while you are basking in the warmth. I am so jealous!

Tina~in_ut said...

Bon'o~ I just about vomited when you said ....uh....crocs...ugh! THEN...you redeamed yourself~ I was picturing doing just what you said....me stirring the paella, and whenever my mouth got dry, I'd just take a swig of the wine~ :)~

Sandie~ my bff's husband used to work for stampin' up~ Oh.....there's not enuf room in my house for the stuff he got me~ AND that website IS the best~ :)

Just_Lin~ ;) good for you~

GM~ Hi~ how ya been?

Mo~ will you stop by and get my beenie babies, too? :D

IBB~ congrats on the march~

MEK~ How dare you come and go like that...hope the class was fun~ :)

Zona~ how is that H-O-T hubby of yours? ;)

Barbara_in_COviaWA said...

OK....some of you guys are just pissing me off now! Friends who have husbands who worked for Stampin-Up so now you have too much to even store in your house??? WTF????? I'm so friggen jealous!

I never did talk about my collections/addictions today. Let's see....where to start....

Rocking horses (not any more)
Royal Copley (not any more)
Jewelry (earrings & rings)
stamps
paper
Japanese Washi paper
embellishments
really anything new for cards
throw blankets
wrapping paper
gift bags
Partylite candles
flowering plants for the yard

I went through a faze where I was cross stitching. I still want to do that again, so I have saved everything. I really want to learn how to knit or crochet.
There is just something about giving someone something that you made with your own hands. I think I have stuck with the card making because that is the easiest.
So be sure to send me your birthday dates and addresses and I would love to make you a b-day card!!!

I'm off to a hockey game.
Loves!
Barb

Wow I went away for awhile today! Actually got not a damn thing done! LOL People kept calling and just spent the last hour 1/2 on the phone with a friend discussing politics. Unbelievable! LOL I think I convinced her to vote for my candidate! LMAO Or we both agreed to do a write in on the ballot not sure which! ROFLMAO!!!

What I gathered from other blogs is that we are all people who love, have humor, care passionately about causes, love beans, believe in letting live and let live but we are all crazy collectors of everything and we are all doing our part to support the economy and Michaels oh and don't forget Ebay and QVC. LMAO

Except goldie she hoardes boxes!!! There is always one that really needs some therapy. What can you do! ROFLMAO!!

Welcome home MEK!!!!

Hi IBB sneaky owl!!! 100 hoot hoot! Pegasus on your Ass huh??? LOL

Hi Caryn, Paulf, outatuune!!!

Sacbarb LOL Covered a pool table!

Zona: Get Scrappin lady!!! You have all the supplies your mom left you!! Have you used the pipe cleaners, paint and felt yet today!!! LOL

Just lin: Don't you collect old cowboys or something??

Bono: I hate to tell you I have sold all of my bakelite!! I gave up on trying to get it too! Bakelite collectors are freaking crazy! They will beat you down waiting to get to it at a sale!! They are nuts. They bid on ebay like they are trust fund babies!!! They actually scare me!! The only collectors that are crazier are NASCAR Collectors! Right Tina!!!

Thanks for the heads up on the Crocs tho. I think I am going to rush out and get Tina a pair and craft them into her team colors! LOL I think I could even make them look like little race cars!! Bwwwahhhh

Oh and my toaster that I use is a 1940's chrome with bakelite handles that I got at the Goodwill 7 or 8 years ago and it still works!!!

My last confession that I remembered this afternoon. I have an old solid wood door with the hardware and skeleton key and a glass pane window I bought at an auction for $2.00. I have a plan for it someday. Mr. Lynn D bitches about it all the time. But it was $2.00 dollars come on!!!!

Well one more there are some old wood paned windows too. I really really have plans for them too!!! They were cheap really!!

Ok maybe I need some more therapy too!

Barbara_in_COviaWA said...

OOOOOOOO LYNN D

Use the wood paned windows as frames! Put your fav pictures behind the glass and hang on a family room wall or something! I have always wanted to do that!

Barbara_in_COviaWA said...

ok.....i have a little time before i leave, so i am going to empty the dishwasher and then come back!

Barbara_in_COviaWA said...

ok i have to ask this.....

how come every time i either start to empty the dishwasher or start to cook dinner i always always have to pee.

does that happen to anyone else???

Lynn D said...

The peeing thing yeah I do that too! I figure it is my mind telling me to put off doing something I don't like to do! LOL Procrastination at it's finest.

Now you gave me a new idea on what to do with those windows!!

I was going to have someone build wood shelves or boxes to hinge them too and either use them for a medicine cabinet or a memory box. I have even pressed flowers and made up my own decoupodge (sp) trick to apply them to the window in patterns and then spray with frosted glass paint. I have given them all away and never saved one for myself.

Tina~in_ut said...

Lynn D~ his colors are brown and gold - ups~ BUT I HATE CROCS!!!! :)~

Barb_in_Wa~ here is the best part....the stamp sets were $2.00~ he-he~ :)~

Dreama~~~That was too funny! Are you allow to use the self wash anymore?

Lynn~~I didn't know Bakelit was soo popular. I have a mens manicure set in an oval snapped leather case...Maybe I should EBay it? I can handle crazy.

Should I mention that I have two old wood paned windows in my basement waiting for me to do something with them? Naw, this is getting too freaky

Barbara_in_COviaWA said...

Lynn....I was thinking that as a kid I used the excuse that I had to pee before having to empty the dishwasher so that I could put off having to do it~ Now all I have to do is open the dishwasher and BAM my body goes~~~"DISHWASHER????~~~~YOU MUST GO PEE FIRST!!!~~~~

Welcome home, Its seems you enjoyed yourself in SAN with Mr Mek, and the bartenders, and the drinks.

Thanks for the daily blog today!

I am not very crafty, I don't have
a great imagination. I am better with words. I do have lots of beanie babies, I just think they are so cute. I also love shopping bags, esp the ones with the handles, I can't get enough of them, you will never see me throw
one out!

My biggest thing I obsess about is work, I am a complete control freak
and workaholic. I wonder if there
are meetings I can go to, then again I better not, as I would prob want to control the whole meeting!

I am not feeling well, I very seldom get sick, and it seems I have some kind of bug, it is knocking the crap out of me.
tina has passed on her cough to me, and it hurts!

I went to work today, because well that is me. I was sluggish all day!

Barbwa: Have fun at your hockey game!! Used tissues ewwwww you just trumped my MIL who used to save everything!! I thought she was crazy for saving the plastic seal rings on the milk jugs and loop them on a string until they were the size of a bracelet. I finally had to ask her why?? A couple of years ago, a client comes in my office, a very cute male client. I got quite nervous as he was so cute.

I had just finished lunch! A very delish Salad!

I am talking to him about a trip to Ireland, we are planning it out together. I must have licked my teeth and felt something, I then realized I had part of my lunch in my tooth! I was mortified.

There was nothing else I could do but look this gorgeous man in the face and say "do have something on my teeth" his reply "yes"...

I turned a pinkish shade of blue
and turned around to get a small compact mirror, now you would think I would excuse myself and go to bathroom to clean my teeth. Nope I got the compact mirror and a tissue and took a "overgrown leaf" of lettuce out of my teeth.

Unbelievable, I was so embarrassed

He booked a 10 day trip to Ireland
and is still my client, we laugh about this all the time!

Wow!!! I have been gone all day and there is no way I can comment on everyone's collections. One thing is sure, we have all been painted with the same brush. It's unbelievable. I wish my daughter were here to read these comments. Her house is so uncluttered. Every time she comes here she comments on how much stuff I have.
I would like to show her that I am not the only one.

Besides what I mentioned this morning I collect -
Scrapbooking materials
Hummels
Snow Babies
All God's Children - figurines of little black children, made from pecan flour (made in Alabama).
Beanie Babies and Buddies
videos - about 500
DVD's - about 100
collector plates - 24 are Hummels, the rest are children, angels or pets.
mugs, bells, spoons and fridge magnets from every place I visited and some from places friends have visited. I have 6 spoon racks.
I used to think my house was too big for just me but I would like a couple extra rooms.

Paul F - Do you still have the Dalmatians? I am looking for 5 more - One with an airplane, two pieces of the train, one in a teapot and one in a helicopter. I will pay top price for them.

Goldie - It's too cold where you live. Why don't you come and stay with me for a while?

night.owls.sb - Don't get sick. Take echinacea and drink lot of orange juice. We need you baby.

Zonababy - Yes I was "bright eyed and fluffy feathered today!" but my feathers are wilting, (do feathers wilt?) and I am off to bed as soon as I finish this post. I had a good night's sleep even if it was drug induced (doctor's orders) and I hope for another good sleep after Ghost Whisperer tonight. It is really strange, when G.W. is on, my dogs won't leave me. I can hardly see the screen because I am looking around them. When it's over they go about their business. I don't know if I give off vibes when I am watching it or if they think they are protecting me from you know what!!!!!!

Whabbear (((((hugs)))))) You know why.

Scirish - You asked yesterday when I wasn't on the blog "How do I put a cat to bed?" Well we have a little ritual. I take his cosy bed that has been on the floor all day and place it on my padded rocking chair. I put in his blanket and put a comforter all around the bed. I put a treat in his bed, cuddle him, turn out the light and leave him in the kitchen.
Same routine every night. The dogs are with me all night. Cats are quite nocturnal at times and I couldn't sleep with a cat walking across my bed. So that's how I put a cat to bed.

Now I am going to put myself to bed. Thanks for the entertaining read today. See you in the morning. God bless one and all.
Love, Tinka

Barbara - That's what I thought it looked like but I didn't want to be naughty and say it. You need two of them.

Scirish - Good Night. Sweet Dreams.

Scirish! I used to collect beads. I loved creating my own designs. Can I send you my stash LOL!!

JustLin~ & Goldie congrats on the smoke out! Wish Hubby would quit.

Maureen~ Too funny asking IBB not to expose her tat(ass) to us!!

NowMercy~ My step son and his family live in Trout Creek Mont. Where abouts is the race. My DIL would love to see that race.

Dreama~ I won't tell my sister that I was going to give her my Vera Wang perfume because I didn't like it, or that some one said it may be a collectible some day!

Caryn~I know you will be a great asset to the animals in distress.

OMG! I think I'm going to get pushed out of the nest.

I don't collect anything! I mean, nothing. It holds no interest for me at all.

Bad owl! Bad owl!

Tinkatia: :| :) :D

Whabbear~~
I think you would never get pushed out of here...

ibebold said...

And Ladies`` you are safe...
I gave up showing my ass a long time ago!!! Literally..
Now figuratively speaking I can still do it..

Mary/MI said...

I forgot to mention my collectibles.
I only collect a few of things I like. I had a friend who kept collecting dolls. She had hundreds! She said it was for her grand daughter when she grew up. Grand daughter grew up.She could care less for the dolls. I learned from that to just collect the best of what I liked and put a limit on it. I have Spiderman, and superman comics, old baseball cards, antique bells, and now thanks to Dreama, perfume bottles.

Whabbear~Tell the truth, you collect owls! LOL!!

Good Evening..

Yes, Tina - i ran in and ran out - I have SO much catching up to do!!

You all have made my day - I'm SO glad that I am not the only one to "collect" things..

I really could list MORE stuff - but I think I will pass!!

but GREAT idea on donating Beanie Babies to a Children's Hospital - I might have to look into that!!

:-)

I just got finished watching "House Hunter" and these people talked about ALL the clothes they had - WELL, looking at the follow up - LOL - They don't have ANYTHING!! :-)

SO - with my confession today - after I get this craft area organized - I will be sent to my closet!! I own WAY too many clothes!!!

I hope everyone had fun today - I know I did - heck, I'm home - felt like I should have started drinking!! LOL..

MEK in AZ said...

Hey Mary!!

IBB -

Whabby, Zona and Tinka - sorry I wasn't around to give you the RERUN alert on Ghost Whisper..

AND - the blog buddy meeting did NOT happen - I was really bummed, but this cold/flu is taking over the country!! SO, maybe next time.

Hey MEK...
Welcome back...

Nap.....dinner....long call from SIL in Mexico (today's her b'day), so I'm just now catching up.

G'night Tinka. My cats snuggle together every night at the opposite side foot of 'our' big bed, but Mick has a habit of letting me know when the sun rises. He paws at my face, jumps up in the window above, jumps back to land on my chest, paws at face, back up to the window (repeat, repeat). Needless to say, he gets what he wants, which is a trip outside to play.

Carol ~~ No sickness! And the cute client guy? DUH, girl. He booked a trip to IRELAND, silly. Obviously he likes green....even if it is lettuce stuck to your teeth. :o)

Tina ~~ You sick, too? Are you on the upside or still tanking? Get better.

bbl, bon'o

Do we have any Survivor fans out there ???
ANd if so... Were you as excited as I to see Johnny(the asshole) Fairplay go home first...
I was not real happy about him being called a favorite!!!

MEK in AZ said...

Goldie - I, TOO, like to 'save' boxes - you never know when you will need one - SO - case in point, I FINALLY let go of tons of boxes since Christmas was over and I would NOT have to ship anything - SO, I let Mr. MEK throw them ALL away....... WELL, who knew, I would be purchasing Fiesta Bowl stuff and need a GOOD box for that - hence, IBB does NOT have her stuff yet!!! LOL

IBB - I missed Survivor last night - BUMMER - I LOVE that you just said that asswipe went home first..

Iteach - I missed last season of Lost - someone PLEASE explain - has Locke taken half the people to another side of the island??

Just_Lin said...

cpgem8, scirish, and Tinka Sweetest dreams to you all.

IBB I didn't watch Survivor but am thrilled that Johnny Fairplay went home first. Ha!

ibebold said...

The funny part was "The Fans" actually beat "the Favorites" in the first challenge...
They were (the favs) just so cocky and sure of themselves!!

Just_Lin said...

Tina I sent you your own cowboy. :)

MEK in AZ said...

Cpgem8 - I am sorry to read that you are not feeling well - I sure hope you don't get this crap that has been going around - I would NOT wish that on anybody!!

Tinka - congrats on #1.

IBB - too funny that you marched to 100 today!! :-)

Gosh - I need to go back and take notes!! :-)

Hey hooters!

TGIF! I'm sooo glad the weekend is here and I have 3 days off now.

Work has been so busy and got home late tonight.

Congrats to dear Tinka for being #1 this morning!

Welcome home MEK! I love your topic, but unfortunately I don't really collect anything anymore.

I did collect Starbucks City Mugs, I probably have 100 of them. I have so many now that I had to wrap a bunch of them up and put them in a large storage bin out in the garage.

For a while, I had a very large collection of Christmas wrapping paper. I didn't collect it on purpose, would just buy it on sale and ended up with lots of rolls.

I ended up giving lots to Goodwill when we moved, and my mom took quite a bit, too.

Carol, hope you're not getting sick too.

Thank you to everyone who has been leaving me comments on Myspace. I will finally have time to spend on there this weekend, probably Sunday. I appreciate you all thinking of me. I never seem to have the time to return the kindness on Myspace, but do want to say thank you, and it means a lot!

Tomorrow at 1:00, Paula the kitty cat princess has an appt. at the vet. She will have blood tests to see if our home fluid treatment, new kitty food, and antibiotics have improved her kidney function.

Keep your fingers crossed for her!

Hugs to you all!

East Bay J said...

IBB & MEK, me and my huz are both huge Survivor fans!

We were shocked and disappointed to see that Johnny F. was considered a favorite!

We thought Rupert should have been there, along with a few others.

We were also very relieved that Rob and "Ambuh" weren't there again.

Just_Lin said...

IBB Thank you. Amicus sent him my way. He could be related to your owl.

EBJ Hope tomorrows appointment goes well for Paula.

Evening everyone! Just got home and now I have to make some dinner. We were going to eat at "In and Out" but I wanted to save some money so I can get that cricut. ;)

TINA: Hubby is doing great. We were at Cost-Co and he went to get us a couple Cokes. He came back to where I was standing with the cart and said "I got 3 new state quarters!" (he collects them--imagine!) "And they're all UTAH!" We looked at each other and I said "It's a SIGN!!" ;)

There was also a computer program there..."30 Minute Italian"...how disappointing THAT would be!

Off to make a cheap dinner! Hope everyone is having a great night!

MEK in AZ said...

I just LOVE that we have enablered Zona into buying a cricut!! :-)
GOTTA love it..

Gosh - I can NOT even believe that I missed Survivor last night AND I was in the room - I think Mr. MEK was watching Deal or No Deal..

I did enjoy happy hour one last time last night!! What a friendly place - I would HIGHLY recomment the Bay Club Hotel on Shelter Island to anyone going to San Diego!!! :-) Heck, Just tell the bar people, MEK sent you!! :-)

I forget who asked about Bakelite. OMG, it is SO collectible and getting very hard to find. And while giving all those Beanie Babies away is a nice gesture....don't come cryin' to me in 10 or 15 years when an eBay sale of some would cover a mortgage payment.

I'm kind of feeling like a teetotaller at an AA meeting tonight. I'm almost embarrassed to say I really don't have any full blown "gotta-have-all-of-'em" addictions. My problem is, while I don't have a thing for things, once I have something, I have trouble letting it go when I should......especially clothes I'll probably never wear, books, and leather handbags. Anybody need a quality black leather purse, bag, tote, briefcase?? I'm your gal. You just can't have too many.

I'll catch up on your latest posts and return with my 'weaknesses'.

Just a thought....maybe a joint eBay virtual garage sale by the RedHat Nesters would cover our trip to Hawaii next spring????

Hi MEK, welcome back. :waving wildly:

IBB: I too was very happy to see him leave. He told that sob story about his pregnant girlriend and had tears and it just reminded me of the phoney tears he shed for his "dead" grandmother.

Carol: megadose with vitamin C and get plenty of rest. I hope you feel better.

EBJ~~
I too thought Rupert should be there...
and also glad rob and (how did you do it ) ambuh..were not back.. Have to say the same about steph and bobbie ray ..or what ever his name was...

Thats awesome...I think we would like the same people..

ibebold said...

And --- I can't believe he has a girlfriend let alone a pregnant one!!!

Just_Lin said...

Rupert was on a previous 'favorites' show so they are probably trying to have different faces.

BUT - I AM going to start "doing" and using my stuff - confession is the first step!!
