Which eye glasses do I wear?

i have officially realized i should have taken the
dark side, i have several different
eye glasses i wear to see different things

when i need to see far, switch the glasses
when i need to see close, switch the glasses
when i need to read, switch the glasses
and when i don't want to see anything
i wear nothing, and when i want to wear
no glasses i wear contacts, well not really
because i need readers to read when i am
wearing my contacts

how the heck do i keep this all straight
not really sure, however my pocketbook
is large so i can always find a pair

why so many glasses, well i will tell you~~

went to the eye doctor last summer

dr "your eyesight has really changed"
me " who me"
dr " well yes, it there anyone else in the room" (not funny doc)
me "oh, how bad"
dr "i think its time for bifocals" (not me)
me "well i am not ready for the dark side, i am only 47"
dr "if you don't take the bifocals you will have to wear several pair"
me "i will take the several pair's as the dark side scares me"
dr "ok, its not going to be easy"
me "i can do it, i am a control freak, i can handle anything"

so here i am today, switching glasses at the drop
of a dime, changing them just as the wind changes
always thinking ahead "which glasses will i need today"

i have spent $600.00 on new lens for all my frames

and why, just because i would not go to the dark side

next time i go to the eye doctor, the dark side
will be welcomed, i have learned my lesson
the hard way, as we always do!

off to decide which glasses to wear today!

:O)

I wear prescription glasses when I drive.

I have always had a problem with "eyeball" things. In nursing school, my stomach would turn if I had to do anything related to someone's eyeball.

So, Lasix surgery is not an option for me. Nor is wearing contacts. I cannot imagine putting something in my eye!

I go in every 2 years to get an eye exam and new glasses. I think I spent about $250 last time. I found frames on sale, plus got an employee discount.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! TGIF!!

congrats EBJ:)
OMG my quote made it! hehe
What is funny is that Jodi or somebody(Omg i forgot haha..maybe it was goldie) said they thought it looked like a cow and had a cute name(too sleepy to search it) and I had not even seen that comment when I came up with that name!

That's what it reminded me of when I saw the image!LOL

I HATE wearing glasses..I am BLIND-AS-A-BAT without them though!
LOL
I have worn them since age 13 when I realized I could NOT see the chalkboard!

I would love to have the laser eye surgery..I thouht about contacts, but I can NOT stick my finger in my eye which is practically what you have to get used to doing haha
Have a good weekend y'all!
Woke up much happier this morning(that 6 min. phone call may have helped..hehe)!:)

thouGht about contacts! Saw it as it was posting and too late to turn back! haha

Okay EBJ..we are in each OTHER'S head this mornin! LOL

I had NOT seen your post..I think we were typing at same time..but we had some of the same thoughts haha

EBJ...hoot hoot! Congrats on 1st!
How's Paula?

SCIRISH...I forgot to mention yesterday that I am keeping you, your friend and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

CPGEM8...Too frickin funny! I had about the same convo with my eye doctor the last time I went! I REFUSED to get bi-focals! And I take the glasses on and off all day, depending on what I am doing. It has nothing to do with vanity...they have invisible line bi-focals...it is the principle! And how can I deny getting OLD if I wear bi-focals!
What a great topic!

Have a great day Feathered Friends!

Joey good mornign...

CPGEM--
this blog and yesterdays kinda go hand in hand... You didn't take your doctors advice to go the dark side.. and now you know you should have...
I luckily don't wear glasses ,YET...
I use the magnifiers(generic Readers)three packs at costco) for small print..
But I got the good eyes in my family..everyone else in my family wears glasses but me... but they got the good teeth!!

Morning owls
Thank you all for the prayers for my friend. She seemed to be doing better yesterday. She was responsive to stimuli and voices. Maybe miracles do happen or maybe the Dr was being overly negative. Sorry for being so emotional, but it was such a shock to have her get so bad, so quickly. Thanks again everyone

Good Morning Gang!

EBJ Way to go!!! Finally popped your 1st, cherry! Wahoo!

Joey: Quote of the day!!!

Saying hi to Mo and IBB!!

Carol: This is too funny. I just had the eye check and just ordered my new glasses and yep they are bifocals!

I have been near sighted since I was a little kid! I wore contacts for years but was diagnosed with an eye condition and I just can't tolerate them anymore! Can't even wear eye makeup! All my tear ducts get plugged and then I look like Quasimoto!

This is my first pair of bifocals. Like you my eyes had changed drastically since my last appt. a few years ago. My worry was not about getting older it is about adjusting to the bifocal!

I don't know how you can coordinate three pairs of glasses. I would lose them everywhere. I can barely keep track of the ones I wear now!

Anyway I just spent $400.00 for frames and lenses and went whole hog and had the transitions put on them. I have been eagerly awaiting their arrival. Got a phone call yesterday and the damn lab lost my order!!!! Why I ask? Why? I should have known anything I buy seems not to work or gets lost! LOL So I will be driving blindly for another week and pulling my glasses to the end of my nose to read fine print. Such is Life. Deep (((sigh)))

iteach said...

Good morning feathered friends!

I mostly wear contacts.

I have glasses, but I always misplace them. It drives my husband crazy.

I only need them to see far away. In fact I'm ready for a new pair. I think each kid has taken turns sitting on them.

Scirish I will continue to say prayers!

Barbara my day yesterday started off crappy too!

Good Morning Owls.
Congrats EBJ. Be right back.

Lynn D said...

Hi BarbWa!! Glad to see you back in the nest! Wipe the crap off and rest here!

Scirish: I am so glad to hear your friend is making improvements! Still sending prayers and positive thoughts her way!

Oh I wanted to say I won't do lasic surgery. I know two people who have had this done and guess what? It fixed their far sighted problems but then their near sightedness was worse or did not improve and they both have to wear reading glasses! What the heck! IMHO their surgery was a waste of money!

Joey - That was a clever quote. You deserve to be written up.

Scirish - I am sorry I missed your message about your friend yesterday. I will pray for her today.

Barbara in Wa - Sending positive energy for a good day for you.

I have decided to have a good day today too. My daughter is healing and that is a big worry off my mind.

I had perfect vision until I was 40 when suddenly I needed longer arms to read. That year I discovered that in order to see what I was writing on my Christmas cards I had to stand up to write. I was concerned until it was explained to me that by 40 the retina no longer cooperates and most everyone needs reading glasses. I tried the bifocals but I found it uncomfortable reading with them. I was always having to turn my head to read. In the long run it was easier for me to have two pairs of glasses. My biggest problem is keeping track of them. I spend half my life looking for my glasses. I tried the strings around my neck but that is not comfortable either. What I am trying to teach myself is to only lay them down in one specific place. That is easier said than done. Does anyone have a trick for keeping track of glasses? They say the 'short term memory' is the first to go.

Amicus said...

Good Morning Owls!

Cpgem: Thanks for writing yesterday and today's blogs! I've been wearing bifocals for about 6 years now, and I'm 44. I wear the progressive lenses with no lines and didn't have any problems adjusting to them. I've been trying to switch to contact lenses for a couple of months now, but the eye doctor has had a heck of time finding a pair that works for me. I'm on my 4th trial pair. The bifocal ones didn't work so we're trying monovision. Lots of headaches! :)

Catching up on previous comments...

Jennifer: Welcome to the nest!

BonO: Those pups are precious! Looking forward to seeing more cute pics as they grow and start exploring their new world. :)

Tinka: Continued prayers for your daughter's recovery.

Dreama: Hope your dad is still doing well. How is Cinnamon's leg?

Scirish: So sorry to read the sad news about your friend. Sending hugs and prayers for her and all of her friends and family whose hearts are hurting.

Zona and Lynn: Hope you both feel better soon. {{Hugs}}

Shirley: Great to see you in the nest yesterday! More {{Hugs}} for you too.

SacBarb: So glad you enjoyed Spelling Bee! The audience participation part was hilarious when I saw it too. :)

Ronnie: MySpace is full of bugs right now! They just keep saying, "Be patient! We're working on it."

Speaking of MySpace, I read a bulletin in the forum warning people that MySpace is in the process of deleting pages that have the bottom links and copyright hidden. It's a violation of the TOS rules so you might want to make sure the layouts you're using don't include a code to hide them. Tinka, I've already fixed your page.

I have to get back to work so I'll be back later to catch up on reading today's comments.

Happy Friday everyone!

I've been wearing contact lenses since I was 12! So, I've been through all the evolutions of contacts. My eyes tolerate them so well that I can still wear the rigid gas permeable instead of soft lenses. I don't know what I would do without them as I really don't like wearing glasses.

About five years ago I switched to wearing one contact for distance and one for reading. It took me a couple of days to get used to it but it's great now. Sounds funny but it works really well.

The problem I'm starting to have now is dry eyes. I have a prescription but the eye dr said it takes about 3 months for them to work.

Scirish, prayers to your friend. I hope she's doing better.

EBJ, congrats on being first!

Oh my gosh, I've gone to the gym every day this week and I swear I'm having trouble walking! LOL Now I'm too sore to clean the house ... oh well.

Great topic...I've been meaning to make an eye appt for a long time..I also have progressive lenses, but I don't think I use the up close part at all. I have to take my glasses off to read or peer over them. I seem to have trouble with mid distance (like on the computer) as I squint with no glasses and everything is fuzzy with them on. I hate wearing them, especially in the summer, but I knew someone who had "halo" trouble after Lasik so thats out. I have tried contacts, but if I get them for far, I can't see close. arrrgggg... Maybe the different contact for each eye thing would work???

Jennifer said...

Good morning everyone! (Shoot it's actually 12:04 PM now)! Time really flies (when the boss is away...right iteach?)!

Anyway...I hope I don't get "pecked" by you all for this...but I have NOT been to the eye doctor in over 20 years!!! My last check up was when I lived at home and was on my parent's insurance. I haven't had eye insurance (and so I haven't felt the need to get a check up as things are fine). However, I think I do have astigmatism (as words can get a little "jumpy" on the pages).

I think things are finally catching up with me though (as I near the big 40 next year)! I have noticed I have trouble seeing from far away! It's not super bad yet...so maybe I'll wait...

I'm the only one in my family who doesn't wear glasses (even my daughter has glasses)! My mom did always tease me that I was the "milk-man's" kid! (hhmmm...could it be true?)! ; )

However, I do wear sunglasses and I have SEVERAL pair of them. I absolutely can NOT be without sunglasses! (I even need them on cloudy days...the glare still bothers me)! My biggest dilemma about what pair of sunglasses to wears is all about "style"! (Do I go with "Ms. Hollywood" or "Belushi" or "Tom Cruise" looks?!)

If I ever do have to wear glasses, I will try for contacts (again because of my obsession with sunglasses...and I won't be able to be "styl'in" with prescription sunglasses!

Sorry about all my type-o's! (I was trying to hurry)!

holey crap jennifer.....we could have posted the exact same thing! I was always that way with my eyesite. everyone always handed me everything to read the small print for them. i had the same jumpy thing going on in my vision, and i can not or don't like to go anywhere without sunglasses because the glare hurts. BUT....in the past year i have had to buy reading glasses because i have trouble focusing now. i'm about to turn 44. i think it has been the amount of time i spend on the computer, reading small print at work, and all the crafts. and that i'm getting friggen old.

Good morning, everybody!

Apropos blog today, Carol! I'm like Joey... been short-sighted since before I was a teen-ager... I can still remember getting my first pair of glasses in fourth grade!

But the times, they are a-changing! Just this past June, I had to embrace the bifocals "dark side" and get progressive regular glasses and sunglasses. They work pretty well, once you get the hang of them. The appalling thing was the cost... $700.00 apiece!

Your tax dollars at work, ladies (and gentleman Joey)!

P.S. Joey: I checked out the link for the swallows over on Rossblog... thanks!

P.S.S. Do you swallow? LMAO!

Happy Friday Hooters!

Which glasses....For the past several years my presciptions have been changing on what seems like a quarterly basis. I am far sighted and have always had glasses for reading. Well it's gotten to the point that I have tri-focals. Progressive lenses so I don't quite look the a coke bottle impressionist.

But I got tired of paying for two to three pairs a year....so...I took the big leap and went into bi-cofal contacts last year. Problem is I can only wear them while at work or at home. I can't see a damn thing ten feet or furthur when I have them on, so driving etc is not an option..lol.

Lasik is not an option, so I guess I just go on like this til I cannot see anymore....

Gotta start on the piles on my desk, will check in later.

Mornin' everybody.

EBJ Yipee for being first today!

Joey Great Owl Said.

Carol Great blog today and funny!

scirish Hoping your friend gets a miracle.

I am 60 now and didn't start wearing glasses until a few years ago. I didn't like having to give into the necessity either. I mostly needed them for reading. The Dr. said that my far sited vision needed such little correction that I could just get reading glasses if I wanted to. Alot of times I would read and watch TV at the same time, so I decided I didn't want to be whipping the glasses off and on all the time. I got progressive lenses which did take a couple of weeks for me to get used to. Now, I think I wear them too much.

One of the silly things I have worried about in regards to the upcoming reunion with Custard is, should I be wearing the glasses when he first sees me or not? I have voiced my concern about this, as well as weight gain and hair style/color. He says it makes no difference to him as these are small item in the scheme of things. He's right, of course.

BTW, twelve years ago I found out I had very, very early signs of cataracts. I had noticed alot of trouble with glare. Fortunately, it's progressing extremely slowly as it really doesn't seem any worse now than it was then.

DreamaTexas said...

Too funny Carol. I never thought about it as the dark side. I don't want those little lines on my glasses so when I am at my computer and have on my glasses well I have to put my reading glasses on over top of my prescription glasses. I look stupid as Hell. Then when I go outside I have to switch to contact lens and sun glasses. I do not do outside into sunlight without my sunglasses which I discussed with Jennifer yesterday.

Jodi said...

I've worn glasses since 2nd grade, but about a month before my 30th birthday - my eye dr said I needed bifocals. I cried right there in her office. CAROL - once you get used to them they are great!!! I have a no-line bifocal - and only YOU will know that you have them.

Oh, I hope you like my new pic!!! It's the slippers I got from LYNN D!!! Fabulous!!!!

you get used to putting in the contacts. You look upwards and the contact lens will adhere to the eye without you actually putting your finger in your eye. My sister still can't put in contacts. I gave her one of my old pairs to practice with so that the eye doctor will allow her to have them.

Amicus: At first I thought the "audience" members were really actors planted in the audience, but one of them was sitting right behind me when they called his name and his wife told us he really wasn't an actor. It is very cleaver how they incorporate them into the script.

Lynn D: Love the slippers you made for Jodi. Very creative and cute, too.

Good blog Carol. You always seem to find the humor in any subject.

I have worn glasses since I was in my 30s but shortly after I turned 40 I had to go to bifocals. As long as I could get the blended lenses and no one knew, it didn't bother me at all. I could see. I wore contacts for about two years but mt eyes started to get dry and I couldn't wear them anymore. So I am stuck with bifocals for now, hoping I never have to go to trifocals.

I'm off to have my taxes done. arrghhhhh This is never a pleasant experience. Hope to be back later. Have a good day everyone.

Scirish, you should try the contacts that have one eye for distance and the other for reading. Both my husband and I have had them for a few years and we both really like them. My hubby tried the biofocal contacts (where they are weighted to stay in the proper place) but he didn't like them. I've never tried them.

To all of you owls who think you can't wear contacts--you should try!! You're not really touching your eye, just as Dreama said. They make such a difference in your sight and your life. At least that's my advice. :)

The owls were a lucky find on the key chain kiosk!! LMAO I had to buy them and figure out a way to use them!

Tina: My hoo hoo is fine but my sphincter has tightened up dramatically today!! The damn wind storms that I complained about before evidently did more damage to our roof than we thought and we now have a leak in one of the upstairs bedrooms!! Arrrrrrrrrrgh Dad is coming tomorrow to take a look and see if we can patch it and take pictures to try to squeeze some money out of our insurance company!

I have to say 08 has not been great for me so far!

Sandie: The monovision contact lenses are what I'm trying now. My right contact is for distance, and my left contact is for reading. I've been having problems with headaches though so I'm hoping my eyes will adjust soon.

Hi Feathered Friends!

Too many to name all of you, so the lazy generic HI EVERYONE!!

I used to wear contacts and I was vain, so I bought blue ones. I could wear them all day and most of the time I never even had saline or the case with me! One day I was in a department store and something got in my eye and I needed to remove the contact. I went to the jewelry dept. and asked for a little box and I put my contact in. I was walking around and getting weird looks...then I realized I had one blue eye and one brown eye! I had to go back to the jewelry dept. and ask for another box!!

Hi Hooters!!
Sorry I haven't been around for awhile...just busy with thing's around the house.

Well, I should wear glasses and I used too. But when we got the pups, I forgot to put my glasses up before I went to bed one night.
woke up the next day to find them chewed up by sweet little Ruby!! That was about seven years ago!! I've just put off getting them. so when I watch TV and there are thing's to read at the bottom I have to squint. A few weeks ago, while at my mother's I noticed she still had a large magnifying glass. She didn't use anymore, so I took it. I use that to read small print. And I don't drive when really dark outside!
I think I'll be finally getting some in a few month's. I'm tired of squinting!
By the way, sweet Ruby has chewed about three pair's of hubby's glasses and three of his wallet's.
I learned my lessen, he did not! lol

When we were out for happy hour after school, I was telling the ladies about it. One of them has a husband that is a fireman (you know who I mean iteach). Anyway...he was there and put in a call to check him out for me. He's going to text me if I need to get out! LOL!!!

Anyway...I'll be sure to share (probably nothing exciting)!

CHEERS!

Am I the only owl who loves glasses? A lifetime of reading and computer work after 'faking' an eye exam in 7th grade ('cuz I wanted cute glasses like my friend had) have kept me in contacts or glasses most of my life. I don't even need them for driving/distance, but the print does get smaller every year. Don't even mind going to the eye doc because mine looks just like Richard Gere!

I wear progressives and always have one clear pair and one photo-brown (for light-sensitivity and as indoor/outdoor sunglasses). Because I don't have a cute little pixie nose, I find I look better with glasses than without, AND they're a fashion statement.....especially when I spent years working in uniform, where the only way to 'girly up' were glasses, earrings and nail color. Love my Fendis and Ferragamos, and Laura Ashley's!

Waving back at ya, IBB!!

Hi Jodi! I'm so glad you had a good birthday week.

Scirish, yes, you should mention the monovision (thanks, Amicus, for the correct term!) to your eye dr.

Amicus, hang in there--you shouldn't have headaches too much longer. I know it does take a couple of days to get used to them.

Maureen, that's funny--one blue and one brown eye! I'm sure you did get some funny looks.

Birdee, your magnifying glass reminded me of something my mom just told me. She was babysitting for her great granddaughter (she's three) and she said to my mom, "Meemaw, I'm going to read my book" and she went and got my mom's magnifying glass! I guess she always sees mom doing that so she thought thats how you read!

SacBarb, I really want to see that movie because I LOVED the book!

Bon'o, no, I haven't seen that guy. It will just make me depressed--I'm so sore!!

Jennifer, I hope your date is great!

Happy Friday Owls! For me, spring break begins right now! Woohoo!!! Anyone else who is at the beginning of March break...their kids or themselves...I wish you all a fabulous one!!

EBJ....congrats on your first first! Was it good for you?

iteach, BarbaraWa, Shirley....hope today was a much better day than yesterday!

Zona and the other sickies...hope you are feeling so much better!

Jennifer...you go, girl! have fun on your date!

Scirish...sorry..I also missed that your friend was ill. Extra prayers for her tonight!

Glasses...excellent topic, cpGEM! Glasses were not something I needed until I hit my forties...which I know is a developmental milestone for we boomers. At the same time I needed glasses to read everything, I also lost my brain. So now I, as Tink said previously, spend half my life looking for my glasses because I can never remember where I have put the twelve pairs I have throughout my not very large apartment. I am told that after one gets to the other side of the big M, one gets their brain back. I am so looking forward to that. The women that have been through "the change", is it true?

Jodi said...

BON - Yes, they can be a fashion statement. My last pair were the plastic (almost cat eye shape) - and they were purple and black!!! The pair I have now are a rose gold frame (frameless on the bottom) and they are made by Chanel!!!

VIG - Been thru the change (surgically) - and I hate to break it to you - but I'm about as scattered as ever. Although it might have something to do with the kids!!! LOL!!

Jodi said...

If anyone wants a good laugh.....check out the bulletin I posted for ITEACH on Myspace!!! Wondering if the kids are still watching Sesame Street?!!?

JENNIFER - Good luck on your date tonight!! You'll have to share all the details!!!

JUST LIN - 10 MORE DAYS!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Oh, and where are my manners......congrats to EAST BAY J for being first!!! I know, it's the little things. :D

Jodi said...

SCIRISH - Hoping that your friend finds some peace. Still sending positive thoughts and prayers her way.

Hello Everyone!

Thanks so much to all for sharing your thoughts on my blog today. I have changed my glasses three times today. This is my life, I made the choice, I have to live it! However as I said my next eye appt.bifocals will be the way to go for me.

I have accepted it :O)

Again, I am sorry I am not around much, my business has really had a very busy winter season. I work alone on all the leisure travel, so its just me. My business partner specializes in Italy, so he does his own thing. My nephew commented the other day and said I was a workaholic, perhaps I am, however its all I know! I do love it tho!

Speaking of 69 and vibrating!

When I got home from work, my dad informs me that there is a porn channel on Comcast (yes mo it must run in the family). He proceeds to tell me its free and he turned in on in error, and could not believe what he was seeing, he turned it off quickly. However he wanted to show me the channel. I think NOT...

Oh my goodness, not my perfect night watching porn with my dad.

He did this innocently, at 84 he can be quite funny!

My grand daughter turns 10 tomorrow and as her mother still isn't that well I am in charge of the birthday party. It should be fun. I haven't been in charge of one for quite a few years. It will be like old times. This old girl will need to get rested up however. See you all tomorrow.

Oh Carol, I have SO much to comment about glasses!!

Unfortunately, I can't do it right now!!!

So, please, my lovely beautifully feathered Owlettes, allow me, at least this once, to comment on "TODAY'S" blog tomorrow!

Laurie didn't do too well adjusting back into her Adult Program this week, and I have been dealing with that. I think it's just because some new people have been hired, and Laurie does take a while to adjust to change. And her favorite staff member, who also is her "respite" person is on vacation.

So, today was better, but not great. I am going for the "positive" thought that Monday will be fabulous!!!

I want to thank Carol so much for being so wonderful and kind for posting those photos of Laurie and Wynonna! And yes, I am in one of them also! They MADE me, I hate my picture taken!, but who could refuse Wynonna??? ( She actually said to me "Come on Laurie's Mom, you will regret this if you don't", and she was right!

Wynonna is just as wonderful and sweet and kind etc, as you see her on interviews, talk shows, and CMT.

Her "Tour Bus" is HUGE, of course, but it also has a trailer for her Harley, and a spot for her kids bikes!!! She is something else! I LOVE her!!!

I want to thank all of you that took the time to send comments back to Carol, which were forwarded back to me at my lowly email!!! They were so wonderful!!!

I said "lowly email" because I am being so stubborn about not getting MySpace. I still don't want it. So, please don't try to wring my arm, or especially my fragile wing!!!

I am happy with email. And so many of you already have that!

I promise, though, that I won't use you all on your MySpace to post pictures for me!!! That pic of Laurie and Wynonna was just a one time thing.

Have a wonderful (what's left of Friday night) and a fantastic weekend!!!

Peace and Love to all my wonderful friends here on the Nest, DonnaJean and Miss Laurie Elizabeth

Hiiiii!!

Thanx to everyone for all the congrats! Wow, being first on here was almost like sex the first time haha!!

Paula has a vet appointment tomorrow, for blood tests. My huz has to take her by himself. He is nervous.

She is doing well (thank you so much to everyone who asks and thinks about her!). She will be 16 next month, and we hope we can slow her kidney failure by continuing with the fluid and her special "renal" kitty food.

I also want to take a moment to thank everyone for the Myspace messages and comments. I seem to have so little computer time anymore, and never able to respond to each person. Just wanted to say a huge thank you and I so appreciate the thoughtfulness. You are such a fabulous, kind group.

Anyone still awake out there???

I got back from the "set-up"! I was pleasantly surprised. However, 2 things do bother me. First I am 5'7" and I decided to wear heals! He is maybe 5'6"? I felt like I towered over him! Secondly, he's nine years older than me. Is that a bad thing? I'm 39 and he's 48!

BUT....there were a LOT of pluses! I am a movie buff and he and I shared a lot of the same movie interests. He also admitted to liking "chick-flicks"! (So he's sensitive)! He has a very nice physic (and in excellent shape...likes to run in marathons)! We also share the same music interests (and dislikes)!!! Better yet...he actually liked ME!!! He wants to see me again!!!

OMG!!! Was he drunk? Could he see past my fat?! Is he desperate? What does he see in ME?!

AM I READY FOR THIS???!!!

I'm scared....

K-girl, you make me smile!!! You're so right!

Thanks for the pep-talk!

I have had way too much rum....!!!

I'm glad you are "thinking" for me (because I can't right now)!

I like what you said about "inner beauty"! You know...just today I was thinking about geodes! (You know...they are plain ugly rocks on the outside, but when you crack them open they have beautiful crystals inside)! It's very metaphoric (and I do love poetry)! I think I need to write a poem about geodes!

Yep....too much rum!!! : P
