Music. It has the power to enhance a mood or destroy it. It can make you happy, or it can leave you in tears. At times it can stir up the best memories, or revisit the worst. After just a few notes of an old song, I can remember lyrics I haven't thought of in years. When I'm alone, one of my favorite things to do, is to change the whole atmosphere of the house by turning on the stereo as loud as I want to.
My tastes in music are diverse. They vary and change as often as my mood does. I love to listen to Frank Sinatra. But I also like Merle Haggard. I can rock with the Rolling Stones or swing with Ella Fitzgerald.
I've been to many memorable concerts, Billy Joel, Waylon Jennings, David Bowie. My all time favorite though, was seeing Elton John in 1975.
What are some of your favorite songs? Favorite concert memories? Is there a genre of music you have always loved? Music..how does it fit into your world??

I've met some nice doctors in my lifetime, but today, I think I met a saint. I was referred to a specialist for my throat, and the whole time she was talking to me, I kept wishing she was a vet. She's exactly the kind of doctor I want for my pets - kind, compassionate, and thorough. She has a glow about her that illuminates warmth and comfort. My pets would love her! I'm happy to have her as my doctor though. :)

Okay - I did NOT fall asleep before my mom - SO, I am exhausted - NOT much sleep was had.
I pondered the concert question -
Cuz - I killed a million brain cells in my youth - heck, didn't expect to see the age of 30 -
SO -
My first concert was John Denver at the USAFA. I saw SO many good people there and I can't remember them all.
Saw Fleetwood Mac at Mile High Stadium - we were on the field and worked our way up to front row!!
Saw Stevie Nicks at Red Rocks in Denver - AWESOME..
Saw "The Boss" with my sister at Mile High - heck, my mom flew my sister in, so that I would have someone to go to the concert with. THe original date got snowed out, so when I went to get the tickets for the re-schedule the woman asked if I wanted to "upgrade" - we went from Nose bleed to field level OH, so close to being able to almost be the "Dancing in the Dark" person!!
Saw George Strait in a honky tonk for a $2.00 cover charge before he was anyone.
Saw Garth Brooks in the beer tent for FREE at the Colorado State Fair when he was just starting out.
Have seen Reba 5 times.
Have seen Willie 7 times.
Gosh - so many more!!!
ONE - BAD concert - (and don't get upset with me) Cyndi Lauper - she came to the casino near us a couple years ago - she was 40 minutes late - came out singing stopped in the middle of the first song - and yelled "Fuck - this sound system sucks" - someone yelled "I love you, Cyndi" - so she gave us a 20 minute lecture that you do NOT love ME, you love my music - long ago, she thought she loved David Jones of the Monkees but when she met him, she realized that she did NOT.. it just went on - she only sang 5 songs and she was GONE!! GONE!! that was it....... very disappointed...
okay - need to shower and get my breakfast - so we can get on the road again!!! Just can't wait to get on the road again!! :-)
